Leisure? Are you positive you don’t need the App. It definitely says you do on the Code of Conduct. This would prevent us from attending the match. Which seems a bit unfortunate.

The code of conduct says you need the NHS track and trace app which you need to use to scan in on entry.

Point 7

Burnley Football Club is co-operating with the NHS Test and Trace system. Your information will be shared with NHS Test and Trace as necessary. All fans must download the NHS COVID-19 app and check-in at the stadium on arrival.

This is what I received from the SLO when I enquired about the need for it or not -

'No its fine – the ticketing data base is enough as we hold everyones details'

Then when I asked for confirmation - ' So is the App. not required?'

The answer was - 'No, not required – but can be used if wanted'.

Seen and had a few queries about the QR code. You can have it either on your phone or just print your ticket, as long as the QR code is visible. And in addition to this you need a mask and photo ID and know your stand/row/seat number.
Does everyone need to wear a mask or are kids under 11 exempt from wearing them.

Re: Liverpool game - ground entry info.

Latest info released by the Club

https://www.burnleyfootballclub.com/con ... lot-update

Looking at the entry plan, access to the JHU and L is only via Ormerod Yard (down the back of the cricket club pavilion). Doesn't look as if you can access the stand by going around the back of the Jimmy Mc. So a long walk for anyone going to the Park View!

The key has red X for 'entrance not available' although there doesn't seem to be any. Maybe you can go around the back of the JM, infront of the sports centre and use the entrance from the carpark. Probably not meant to!

There looks like there will be a ticket checkpoint just past the side of the club shop, so it's possible that anyone who has a ticket for the James Hargreaves Stand could be sent back around the outside of the ground.

Once again, the club say differently on their official terms

Fans aged 11 and over must wear a face covering when in the stadium, except when eating and drinking. Fans must also wear face coverings immediately outside the stadium, in car parks and forecourt areas. Government exemptions to wearing a face covering apply – checks may be carried out by club staff

Don't know why they would have two ages listed on two different parts of the site.

Neither do I but was told this afternoon by the SLO that it was only 16 and over who required face masks.

I am delighted and grateful to have been selected for the game.

I am frankly shocked and horrified at how utterly unprofessional the club (I say this loosely as I’m sure it’s probably a couple of people responsible) have handled the whole thing. Horrifying at best.

We’re 14 months into a pandemic. We’ve known that limited crowds would happen....we’ve had months and months to get this even remotely right.

Why has it been just so appallingly bad? Is anyone being held accountable for this?

Still, people continue to find tickets in their spam and despite me contacting the club twice to alert them to this, nothing has been done to further raise awareness...people still can’t find their tickets, let alone access them snd download them.

I’m so utterly proud of my football team in countless ways but when it comes to ticketing and marketing, I am yet to see any tangible evidence in recent years, that there’s a growing passion and desire to want to improve.

Bonkers!

I know of 3 fans who said they've had enough and will no longer be attending games at the Turf due to the debacle that has been the changing communications from the club. I hope that the new chairman goes around his staff with a large drawing showing the areas that are the arse & the elbow of the human body. I realise it won't be everybody at the club but unfortunately the minority spoil it for the majority.

It's only the same as regular pub goers who haven't been back yet due to all the rules.

People only put up with so much inconvenience.

I’m sure this has been answered somewhere but just for my own piece of mind:

1, Was the health questionnaire the couple of questions you filled out with check boxes or is there something more detailed that I’ve not done?

2, Is the QR code the actual ticket to get in to the ground?

Thanks!

Can I ask if people aren't going tonight because of whatever reason, that they let the club know they won't be using their tickets? Suspect there will be quite a lot of people (like myself!) who weren't successful and would happily go in their place. Maybe the club will be able to re-circulate? although sounds like they have enough admin already!

They will but numbers are limited so it's recommended that you arrive in Burnley Town centre at 5pm at which point you will be allocated a position in the scarf queue. You must bring 30 pictures of you wearing different half & half scarves to prove you're a real collector. You'll be strip-searched at the gates to TK MAXX and enter a ballot to get your clothes back which will be outside the Krispy Chicken shop if you're successful. Those without the exact change will not be served. Price to be announced once the queue is full.

438 days since Tottenham. Despite the massive cock up in handling this ticketing, it's going to be wonderful to finally hear Clarets fans tonight through my magic lantern.

Just cancelled tonights 5ickets, and cancelled a season ticket.
I've had a second season ticket for 5 years, that 2 children share and pay for. As I could only get it in one name i used lads. My daughter was due to go with me tonight, but because of track and trace she can't use it as her name is not on the ticket. They've said that going forward, the same protocols could be in place for next season, so I've sadly cancelled their season ticket. Neither of them can guarantee being free every home game.
I'm sure I won't be the only person holding a season ticket that is shared between more than one person. Its a sad state of affairs, and I can understand the reasoning, but surely an issue like that can't be insurmountable.

It causes inconveniences, but now it's costing the club money.

Well by cancelling you have removed the chance for things to change at a later date. Considering we have until August before a ball will be kicked in the league cancelling on the strength of a maybe seems a bit hasty.

Colburn, This is Burnley Football Club we're talking about... Nothing will change. I've known someone use an U10's ST as an adult to get in for a game on one occasion as the Ticket Office refused money to swap the ticket to an adult!! They've already changed their stance on ID'ing everyone tonight to using 'spot checks' and I bet that doesn't even happen.

I don't see how anyone with an important job can risk going on the Turf with the NHS app. If one person reports a positive test that's been on, a thousand people might have to self isolate for 10 days?

Unless the rules have changed?

If I don't cancel it now, how do I guarantee a refund in August. If things change I can always replace it later, for now they didn't leave me with another option.
