He didn't do enough to excite wilder for sure but reading snippets on the Sheffield United forum some of the fans were critical that he wasn't kept on some must have liked him or thought he could do a job in the middle of the park, I think he's a midfielder I could be wrong, can't comment on oneboro haven't really looked on to gauge an opinion on him whilst he was there.

Have you watched, listened and understood the way Dyche has the club set up? Loyalty!!djemba-djemba wrote: ↑Tue Jun 01, 2021 6:25 pmI expect minimum 2 new starters as well as 2 more of these type of squad fillers you mention who are good enough to step up when asked.
If we haven’t got the money to buy a minimum of 4 new players then Dyche needs to utilise the loan market much better than he has in the past. Bring in players who he will use and who are good enough, not just expensive dross to sit on the bench.

They have to be in our ball park. You cannot run the ship without replacing and updating the playing staff overtime.Newcastleclaret93 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 01, 2021 10:22 pmI just don’t know how we can compete. We purchased the leagues top scorer for 15m in 2017. This seasons top scorer was rumoured to be available for 35m.
Them kinds of sums are just not in our ball park.
It’s the cost of doing business in the present climate. Call it a Covid tax.....

Theo Walcott to be released, was on loan at Southampton. Not sure whether it was a loan with a view to a permanent signing but if he was available could he do a job for us?

Somethings got to give before next season!
The rewards clearly await Dyche financially. Yet the owners look like they’ve got no real money of their own .
If you want to stay on your throne Sean , agree to the loan strategy I’m sure Pace will put your way

Southampton agreed to terms with Walcott. He’s signed permanently for them.
I could see King doing well here...however, I’m not sure we are an attractive enough club or if he’s be willing to take a pay cut in wages. However, on a free it’s not so bad and we’d make up a bit of wage with no transfer fee. However I don’t think we’d want to mess up our pay structure.

For all we know the player could have been identified whilst RH was in charge & it was a prearranged visit, doesn't mean he'll sign, it's when they start undergoing medicals you know it's promising.clarethomer wrote: ↑Sat Jun 05, 2021 8:22 amMaybe he has already seen, or is due to come to see, ours as he looks at his options?

Not linked with but a couple of players in Germany with a year left on their contracts are :
Dennis Geiger of Hoffenheim - central midfielder with a lot of talent , likened to Joshua Kimmich.
Milot Rashica - winger/forward who turned down Villa in the summer, due to not wanting to be in a relegation battle , and was subsequently relegated himself on the last day of the season. A useful player nonetheless, but that sort of attitude has to be questioned.

Since the rumour Ole was interested in signing him for United he's been awful. Slight upgrade (only because of his age) on Barnes, but lot more expensive.

Also said that Norwich were interested - if they lose max aarons! Also a few championship clubs mentioned in there too. Natural progression at right back in terms of age if it was loan with a view to permanent deal. Bardsley into a coaching role and Williams challenging Lowton. Hypothetically .

I like the sound of that info, and we do need to try and utilise the loan market much better than we have previously, however we already have Bards & Lowton for that position, so unless we're looking to offload either of those, which I find highly unlikely, I don't see how this lad will be guaranteed enough minutes for Klopp to agree to a loan move.Hedontplayforyou wrote: ↑Sat Jun 05, 2021 3:48 pm@TEAMtalk on Twitter stating that we have enquired about Neco Williams on a loan basis from Liverpool. Unless we adopt different shapes for different games you may be right about his game time. Although, and I may be wrong on this but I’m sure I watched Konate their new centre half , play right back for RB Leipzig , and Gomez can definitely play there .tiger76 wrote: ↑Sat Jun 05, 2021 4:26 pmI like the sound of that info, and we do need to try and utilise the loan market much better than we have previously, however we already have Bards & Lowton for that position, so unless we're looking to offload either of those, which I find highly unlikely, I don't see how this lad will be guaranteed enough minutes for Klopp to agree to a loan move.
Re: Summer 2021 Transfer Window Rumours - Links - Discussion
We need to have everyone singing from the same hymn sheet to get this crucial summer window sorted
Couple of potential problems in that respect
CT has alluded to the fact that Rigg and Hodge put forward a number of proposals over recent times that SD just batted away, so clearly there are some differences of opinion there with Hodge in the future
The new owners seem keen to use this new scouting system which, I presume, will be putting forward younger, maybe cheaper/unknown options. Again we have seen that, historically, Dyche prefers a more mature experienced player. Will Pace be happy for SD to veto any options that come through this app.
We have yet to see the colour of any money available to SD
I would hope there would be figures in excess of the Gibson deal and any fee we get for players leaving the club
If money is tight then the loan market is a really important tool at our disposal. Again, it is an area that we have seen more failures than successes in the past. We are restricted to only two players from home leagues so abroad is an area we have to seriously consider but, again, we know this is an area SD is reticent to use
Hoping for some exciting/unusual signings this summer - a couple of first team starters at least plus others in their early 20's for the future
But issues as highlighted above need to be rectified around the table before it can happen

We are linked with a player multiple times across various outlets over long periods and people struggle to believe there is anything in it.
Another club get tentatively linked and it’s instantly considered as good as a done deal.
It’s one of the quirks of this messageboard.

So on that basis would you be surprised if he did go to Leicester, let's be honest we do have form for being interested in certain players & taking that long with negotiations the deals don't get completed, I wouldn't be at least the little bit surprised if he did go to Leicester, knowing the club & how much we f*nny about it's almost expected.arise_sir_charge wrote: ↑Mon Jun 07, 2021 10:58 amI love posts like this.

Well I have no idea whether this info is correct or not, however let's say there is something in these Collins>Leicester rumours, at least that probably means the Foxes won't be sniffing around Tarks this window anyway. There are no guarantees in life, and certainly not in the PL, but our odds of staying up will greatly increase if we keep hold of Tarks, and obviously also if he remains fit for most of the campaign.Newcastleclaret93 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 07, 2021 11:44 amYes I would imagine if they get him. However we should still be looking at getting a replacement for JT either in this window, or in January because it's unlikely he'll pen a new deal with us alas, and you don't have to be a genius to see that neither Dunne or Long are up to the required standards this league demands.
It would be disappointing to lose him on a free, but given the sell-on % due to Brentford, and the fact that staying up for another season or two as a minimum will net the club upwards of £200m, then I fall on the side of keeping him for the next 12 months, assuming of course that he's happy to still be at Burnley, if he's not then we should consider any reasonable offers, as there' no point keeping players who don't want to be here.

I still think that is quite high for a lad with very little game time. But he must be a good player based purely on who is after him.

So we either get on board where we can or shop in league 1/abroad.
We apparently already have interest in Tarks and are haggling over what we want for him, so in theory one fee negates the other.
Oh and Utd paid £10 million for Smalling and he had even less league game time for Fulham if I remember rightly.
