Burnley linked with Christie again today. Could see this happening he’s only got 6 months left on his deal.

7 goals and 15 assists, worth a punt at the right price and with just 6mths left...Newcastleclaret93 wrote: ↑Thu Jul 08, 2021 4:33 pmBurnley linked with Christie again today. Could see this happening he’s only got 6 months left on his deal.
Just reading a report that he frustrated Celtic fans because he would shoot from all sorts of angles
We'd probably welcome some of that here.

Rare you see a player’s contract ending mid-season.Newcastleclaret93 wrote: ↑Thu Jul 08, 2021 4:33 pmBurnley linked with Christie again today. Could see this happening he’s only got 6 months left on his deal.
Re: Summer 2021 Transfer Window Rumours - Links - Discussion
Maybe they mean it's 6 months until he'd be able to sign a deal for someone else without a fee attached.

Re: Summer 2021 Transfer Window Rumours - Links - Discussion
Interesting one Christie. It's a step up in league quality but Tierney has proven it can be done. It's a risk but reading various things online suggest other PL clubs are at least monitoring him. Palace believed to be interested.
He's only 26, so younger competition for our older preferred pairing. He looks like a pretty mobile, tenacious midfielder with an eye for goal. Doubt it'd be crazy money either given his odd contract situation.

Christie wouldn’t command a hefty fee you’d imagine , and is able to play in a few positions, probably needs to leave Celtic , he got pelters this season from their supporters , good age, a risk worth taking if his wages are sensible

We’ve been linked last few windows with him so wouldn’t be a huge surprise if he signed.Hedontplayforyou wrote: ↑Thu Jul 08, 2021 5:27 pmChristie wouldn’t command a hefty fee you’d imagine , and is able to play in a few positions, probably needs to leave Celtic , he got pelters this season from their supporters , good age, a risk worth taking if his wages are sensible

I see CP have signed Michael Olise for a reported £8m from Reading. At that price we should have been interested.

Eze and Olise for a combined 23m fee is crazy good business.minnieclaret wrote: ↑Thu Jul 08, 2021 9:01 pmI see CP have signed Michael Olise for a reported £8m from Reading. At that price we should have been interested.

Olise had 19 goal contributions in 44 games last season. Not bad at all for a 19 year old.Woodleyclaret wrote: ↑Thu Jul 08, 2021 9:22 pmOlise is hot and cold great in one game, anonymous the next three

That absolutely is. I knew we were interested but the fact he was kicked out due to not showing up to practice makes me think Dyche wouldn’t be happy....but if he’s ok with it... So am I!Dodobdobodobo wrote: ↑Thu Jul 08, 2021 11:43 pmIs this Ciaran Dickson from Rangers BBA47AE4-07B2-4C2E-8AF3-840357BE08CF.jpegtraining with Max Thompson today?

The Celtic Star reckon ...'Crystal Palace have been linked and London is (probably) nicer to live than Burnley.'

Palace have been linked, but do people seriously think our players actually live in Burnley.
If we can get Christie on a modest fee we'd be wise to snap him up, he's still at a good age and he would hopefully add a goal threat from midfield.

Does Christie live in the east end area of Glasgow ?
If so, he might find Stoops similar to Chelsea

Re: Summer 2021 Transfer Window Rumours - Links - Discussion
Indeed. I am assuming Christie doesn't live in a high rise in Drumchapel. There seems to be a strange belief that players live where they play.

If players had to live nearby the club they play for I think they’d take Burnley over Crystal Palace!

If Palace are showing the same possible interest in Christie as Burnley then I fear we will have to look elsewhere

Fire damaged shopping trolley just by an abandoned scheme in Castlemilk … no chance he’d swap that for Bowden or Wilmslow

Nothing concrete in the works then, but he sounds more hopeful than he did last summer, and given we've already forked out big money for Collins, another decent signing or two, and SD must just decide to commit his long term future to BFC, and it's not like he's got any better offers on the table is it.ClaretAL wrote: ↑Fri Jul 09, 2021 2:18 pmDyche...

I don’t know how well our scouting is set up in France, but I’d have thought that there could be some opportunities to take advantage of over there.

The TV deal is in doubt again after last season's fiasco, plus Bordeaux's backers pulled out leaving a financial hole
On another note Robin Quaison has signed for a Saudi outfit........ must be for the chance to play at a higher level

Is it I thought it was classed as in Hertfordshire myself.
Anyway if Watford want to spunk their cash on a forward who rarely scores let them be my guest, Josh King is on a downward spiral, and he has been for a few years now.

Nuno Tavares to Arsenal so we can put that one to bed. Which has me thinking, we are competing (presumably) for the same targets as an outfit like Arsenal as well as Man U sometimes and other clubs of a similar stature. We’re doing some things incredibly right. Nathan Collins father said it in the interview... there were other clubs in for Nathan but what mattered is that Sean really wanted him... it wasn’t just a signing but that we saw Nathan as an integral part of the team. I love being Burnley.
