Definitely an understanding there. Vydra is SO busy all the time. Nice to see them actually looking to get each other “in” too.

I just hope Vyds gets on the score sheet because that miss late in the half was a bad one by his standards. Super striking partnership though.

Not a coincidence that Wood is playing the best he has ever played with Vydras movement dragging defenders all over the place. Great partnership

To be fair we did see it when Barnes was in his pomp. Different player. But occupied and unsettled defenders.

To be called a local, you have to be dead and buried and pushing up daisies in the cemetery for 45 years

That’s why we don’t sign foreigners. Takes them 3 years to settle

Exactly. Much better with a big old Englishman like wood.

Great signing from the former chairman. Left a lasting legacy

Vydra played a major part in both goals and run Fulham ragged all evening, and Wood once again showed how to finish, this pair will cause defences plenty of problems next season on this evidence.

Amazes me how many times Vydra actually wins the ball in the air
Not sure why he was subbed so early tonight and just hope we can get him to extend his contract this summer as he only has another 12 months on it

Even in that brief cameo, you could see how far Wood, Vydra abd the club have left him behind.

Why can’t some realise that when a player comes into the team after a long period on the sidelines, be it through injury or non selection , it takes them a few games to get up to proper match fitness and back to their best.

Yes these two are excellent. Vydra is a great little player. You can tell they have a great understanding - they’re always chatting at half time as well!

Despite the 10 goals from Chris Wood and the contributions from other players, I have voted for Matej Vydra as my Player of the Season.

He knocked on a perfect ball today straight to Wood which almost came to something. I had to look twice when I saw it was the other way round.
Not surprising that two top championship goal scorers are working well together in the prem but for me it's all about the contrast of their play. Big man little man at it's best. Similar to Vings again. We are so one dimensional playing Wood with Barnes or Rodriguez and it's the variation that gives defenders more to think about.

taking away certain results the highlight of the season has been Vydra well and truly taking his chance

Exactly my thoughts, he seems to create us more opportunities just with his movement. Im surprised how good he is at heading and holding the ball up. As much as everyone including myself like Barnes and he has been a great servant, its probably time to move on whilst he has some value
