900 grand spent. Defensive injuries to start the season. Bottom on one point after six games.

Genuinely don’t know how he does it every year but hats off to him. Unbelievable effort.

Totally agree mate. I actually don’t think we’re a team that deserve to be 14th but that core of players deserve to be in Europe.

Yup.

We besically gave the teams around us a 7 game head start with the injuries we had and + an extra £30-£40 million each compared to what we spent.

They still couldn't beat us.

He does it because of the quality of recruitment during his time here.

This is his team, they won't hide, they'll graft and leave everything on the pitch most games.

He needs the backing to carry this on and take us up a level, add more guile etc.

On the flip side will Dyche be able to succeed at another club or will he go down in history as a one hit wonder

Dyche is a rare breed. He could manage any club with any budget. And still succeed.

Only time will tell. His man management and leadership qualities for me will ensure he has a long career at the top level or and maybe tier two but I think he will find his next job a tough one (not as tough has the poor git who follows him here).

Like all managers they need their main men on the park. Mee out at the beginning showed that. Tarks too has had a pretty good season. And Wood has come back strong after his little injury. Dwight, Westy, Josh, and the rest have all contributed and that is down to Dyche keeping their belief up and standards high.

My view on our manager never changes - he's perfect for us, we would seriously struggle to improve on him should he move on. He has been unbelievable for our football club. He doesn't get everything right, that's for certain, but he's been brilliant for us and I'm hoping there will be some good news coming sooner rather than later regarding his position as manager of Burnley Football Club.

Think back to the time when the club had just flogged Austin and Sean brought in Jones, Arfield and Heaton on free transfers, and only spent £400K on Barnes in the window, that has to be up there with this season.

That was the springboard for where we are now with two promotions and at least seven seasons in the Premier League.

His best achievement yet. Superb manager. Never too up and never too down even with cr@p refereeing and VAR and diving players screaming like Lacazette..

He really does deserve some proper backing. A mystery to me why a bigger, richer club hasn't come in for him

Bigger clubs have Aristocrats and Prima Donna's playing for them. Can you imagine some of them dragging round tractor tyres in pre-season in the ******* rain. I can't. They would down tools and complain that their hairstyles were getting spoilt.

He has just given our club a 6th consecutive season in the premier league. Just think back 15 years and imagine trying to actually believe that could happen.

After gaining only 2 points after the first 7 games I was thinking that this may be a season too far, but he always seems to get the results that matter. If you were reading this as fiction you would say it was far fetched. Incredible.

Not much more I can add to the OP. Is there another manager who could keep Burnley in the Prem for six consecutive seasons on the budget he has been given? I doubt it.

Some will say horses for courses but I just wonder how the great Pep and he is great, would have coped without all the cash and just as importantly without the worldwide scouting network available to him and his own knowledge about top.players in Europe.

I would echo those sentiments a superb achievement this season given all of the shenanigans behind the scenes.

I really think that Burnley Football Club and Sean Dyche are the perfect fit. The fact that Burnley can only finance a small squad seems to suit Sean Dyche perfectly, he likes to work with players that he knows well and trusts leaving him able to use the same core of 14/15 players. Probably one of the reasons why loan signings have not really worked out well and why several senior players have been offered contract extensions instead of being moved on. Substitutions are often left until very late into the second half of matches.

How would he adapt to having a squad of 20 plus international players all vying for a first team place and expecting significant game time who knows?

double handcuffed by Garlick, a free shot for Dyche this season, I thought we'd scrape survival, it's been quite convincing really.

Fans back in next year, hopefully positive recruitment in the window and a better season next year for many different reasons. I'm glad this horrible season is pretty much done for us now.

This is when you judge Dyche. At the end of a season. Not when we've lost a game. Not when we lose 3 on the bounce. It's when he's performed absolute bl00dy miracles to keep us up once again.

This has been the toughest challenge for him this season. Very little support over the last few windows left him with a squad on the verge of a couple of injuries away from barely getting a team out. SOME fans chose to turn on him but what was he playing with? I always say look at the bigger picture. Don't get carried away when we win at Liverpool but don't attack the players and management when we lose to Newcastle. The aim is to avoid relegation then see where that takes us. That's the reality of what we are up against. Sean Dyche is the manager who should look after us for another 10 years. Opposition fans vilify him but, deep down, they know how good he is and are probably jealous they don't have half the man, we have, running their team.

For me, this is the proudest I've been of our players and management team. This is the one reason I want to be on the Turf, suffering the stupid, over the top Covid rules, when we play Liverpool. I want to applaud the whole lot of them and say my wee thank you for delivering what they have.

Up the feckin Clarets and here's to another PL campaign.

Easily the best manager at Burnley in my lifetime. The players embody everything he has instilled since becoming manager. We should be proud to support a team that gives everything and constantly exceeds expectations against the odds. “Minimum requirement is maximum effort” is a Dyche-ism that I preach to my kids ....hope they listen because it can take you a long way!
Hope we can keep him and he gets the backing he deserves. Get in !!!!
