Ironic because he’d be brilliant with Wood up front.

No pun intended ? ;)

Ings off field antics were no different to Austin's, in fact some of Charlies behaviour was worse.

I wish someone could post the footage of the game Ings was substituted by Dyche v Liverpool .It was the season before Ings signed for Liverpool and I feel sure the game was after Ings had talked with Liverpool in the January , as players out of contract I believe were allowed to do , likely a done deal.
My recollection to this day is that as Ings was going off he was shaking hands with Liverpool players.
I’ve always thought I must have been mistaken because no Burnley player would surely shake hands so openly with players from an opposition team they had already agreed to sign for. That would be disloyal to your club , team mates and fans of your club who you were suppose to be giving your all for.

They were (and are) only allowed to talk to clubs in other countries.

Thanks Paul for confirming that Ings would not have been allowed to talk with Liverpool before this game. That clears that one up for me, would still like to see the footage
