BT have said after CL games their 12.30 kick off slot will move to 7.45 Saturday night. Great for away fans with no trains.

Isn't it easier for the tv favourites? ManU fans are down in London, so that's 3,000 fans travelling home by tube when they play Arsenal, Chelsea, Spurs, West Ham, Crystal Palace, Watford and Brentford, if they make it through the play-offs this year.

And, I'm guessing BT have already planned to cover all the London derbies.

Looks like the TV money bubble has definitely peaked, if not yet burst.

I'd guess the 7.45 Saturday slot will be popular with armchair fans, bit of a pain for match going fans.. and the police depending on who's playing.

Klopp complained about playing 12.30 Saturday after Champions league games on Wednesday.

To keep showing the big clubs they have changed their slot, viewing figures might be quite high for late evening games at the weekend? We have certainly had enough test events for them recently.

The pubs will be open. I wonder if all sports pubs have asked for the time to be moved? Or, maybe there's confidence that all the pubs will be full again when all the restrictions are lifted.

Of course, the new tv deal is from 2022 - or can BT re-schedule for next season? I can't see Liverpool playing on Wednesday nights in Europe next season.

I'm looking forward to 3pm Saturday at the game next season.

I think they have agreed a £100m "sweetner" to the EFL with the Government.

I don't know, I was just making the clever money people on the board aware, so I could read what they say on it.

They're trying to avoid renegotiating it I read this morning, because they're concerned they'll get less.

The deals have limited lifespans on purpose, to allow alternative broadcasters a regular crack at getting a slice of the pie so to speak.

A rollover of the current deal normally isn't allowed as it breaks the competition rules.

The gov have told the PL they need to pay more to the lower leagues.

The Premier league have done well to get away with a roll over deal, I don't think that would have been possible 12 months ago. Good to hear that the government won't sanction the deal unless more monies are filtered down the pyramid

Nothing to do with filtering down of money. It's due to monopolies that Government are involved because a roll over deal means potential new bidders have been ruled out.

That figure of £5 million, if it's right, could be a life saver for struggling clubs down the league's.
