That's OK, Beardsley's not played in years and even when he did, it wasn't for us.

Good time to get any injured players repaired and rested for next season. Next 3 games not as important as first 3 next season

Re: Beardsley having op - unavailable for rest of season
I wish Phil Bardsley well with his op which sounds as though it will be straightforward and is veyr common amongst footballers.
The article has confirmed my thoughts about Nick Pope not being 100% and that is why we have had two keepers on the bench in recent weeks.
It also appears that we have had a few players carrying knocks and this has been kept in the background, which is the correct way to go about things.
Good luck to all the lads and let's hope that they can all be up and running when the pre-season kicks off.

Might also explain why Pope was opting to punch the ball clear so much on Monday when previously he would have caught itAshingtonclaret46 wrote: ↑Thu May 13, 2021 5:35 pmI wish Phil Bardsley well with his op which sounds as though it will be straightforward and is veyr common amongst footballers.

“A first home win in 9 against Leeds”. I think not.

It means in the last 9 home games, not the last nine against Leeds.huw.Y.WattfromWare wrote: ↑Thu May 13, 2021 7:14 pm“A first home win in 9 against Leeds”. I think not.

Beat them on the Turf in the first promotion season under Dyche as well. Pretty sure Arfield scored the winner that day as well.
Re: Beardsley having op - unavailable for rest of season
We haven't won in our last 9 home games and we're playing Leeds on Saturday, so if we win it'll be our first win in nine home games.huw.Y.WattfromWare wrote: ↑Thu May 13, 2021 7:55 pmBut we beat them 1-0, Arfield, in April ‘16. Only played them at home in the cup draw since as I recall.

OK I get it now.
My grammar isn’t the best but I would have put commas around “against Leeds”.
