Newcastle take lead v. City.
I don’t know Ake’s W-D-L record at City but every time I see him they look worse for it.
Just found it. 4-2-3. He’ll be lucky to be there next year.

Shelvey smacks the crossbar with a free kick, then City go up the other end and equalise thankfully. and then add a 2nd moments later.

Well I did call him in the OP. Ake gives Njcassel a pen. 2-2.
How anybody could pay £41m for him I will never understand.

Joe-lin-ton...
Oh please don't take
Those points
From
Man City

You know we want
That 14th spot
And now you're playing
Far too hot
Oh Joe-linton
Please don't
Take those
Points

Impressed again with Joe Willock for Newcastle. Can't see Arsenal letting him go permanently but would be good down our right hand side.

city equalise through Ferran Torres within 2 mins

Thought this game might be a bit tame with city having got the title sewn up, but its a cracker.

the most boring 3-4 I've ever seen, City sending everyone to sleep with constant possession

Why on earth would any Burnley fan be cheering for Newcastle, when we're competing with them to finish as high as possible. :?

How on earth can a football fan be cheering on a gulf state franchise eleven?
It’s a reasonable question.

And, as I’ve stated before I usually cheer for the underdog, with the knowledge that doing so from my living room doesn’t actually affect the result.

Doesn't finishing higher in the PL mean a few more million per place?

That's what's important to me from here on in.

Also, the main thing is we go out to win our last 3 games. That’s what counts!

I'm no fan of City I'm merely looking at it from a selfish POV as a Burnley fan, and it's better for us if Newcastle lose, the fact they just happen to be playing City is besides the point as far as I'm concerned, I want the best result for us, and that would be a City win.

Precisely EC, and it finished 4-3 to City which is a great result for us before we play Leeds.

Sure, I see your point, and I agree it’s better for us that city won, but the outcome is not dependent on you cheering them on. I choose to cheer on the underdog against that awful club, it’s more fun.

TBF. Finishing above Newcastle is in our own hands.

Dont the players share the positional prize money at our club? Sure I've heard that before to offset their "lower" basic salaries compaired to other clubs..
