BPF 4 - no fault for the first. Wasnt set at all for the second and the 4th he should have been sweeping but stood off. Very poor.
Lowton 6 - not massively involved, a couple.of decent deliveries in the first half.
Tarkowski 5 - thought he played well first half and dealt with Bamford really wel. Rodrigo really got the better of him though unfortunately.
Mee 5 - another who struggled with Rodrigo
Taylor 7* - a constant outlet and made some vital.interventions.
Brownhill 5 - worked hard but some poor choices.
Westwood 5 - will be disappointed he didnt do better with either of his efforts from the edge of the box.
Cork 5 - looked very leggy today, showed a lack of quality on a number of occasions giving the ball away sloppily in good positions.
McNeil 6 - started well, worked hard but went searching too much for the ball at times, coming far too deep when he could have been looking to get close to the forwards.
Wood 5 - not his day today.
Vydra 5 - a real costly miss at 1-0 and then a poor header for their second...

Gudmunson 5 - looked lively but a costly miss.
Jay Rod 5 - another who should have done far better with his chance.
Barnes 5 - can tell hes not match fit. Was expecting the header to go in.

A bizarre game really
Leeds were clinical and their keeper made some excellent saves when needed. We did neither.
They deserved the win but 4-0 is a tough one to take.
Key moments were the foul on Vydra which was ignored for their first and Vydra's miss in the second half.

Fair play to Leeds on their win they showed some.good quality going forwards today. but some of their theatrics were way over the top and I'm getting sick of commentators nd pundits acceptance and defending of it.

I thought we played well!
Lacked finishing, thanks to their keeper.

Their first was a good goal. 2nd a poor shot flicked into the net. We had numerous openings and efforts.

2 down. Chase game. Leave openings. They took their chances, we were not able to do the same.

Very unlike Burnley to roll over at the end of the season... oh wait.
One world class save from being 1-1 to a stroke of luck and you're 2-0 down moments later
We certainly had enough chances, arguably better chances to be hones, we were just rank bad after a bright start

The points went the way they should, but certainly wasn't a 0-4 game.
They just did us at the right times with a bit if quality or the right pass/option taken.

They certainly wasn't 90m times better though ( the difference in summer spending )

It's a funny old game. Everything Leeds touched turned to gold and to be frank they did look good on the eye but we flattered them with our wasteful finishing. Should have been 3-4. They still deserved to win but it should have been a whole lot closer.

BPF 6 Didn't do much wrong and was hung out to dry by the goals.

BPF - 4 He is not the answer when Pope goes. Poor decision making and looked like a rabbit in the headlights
Lowton -5 Been a great servant but we need a new RB
Mee - 6 Average game but not good enough today
Tarky - 5 Lost his men a couple of times and should have scored at the other end
Taylor - 6 Decent performance at full back but his crossing was very poor today
McNeil - 5 Lost his way since the Everton game. Don’t think I remember him getting a ball into the box from open play today
Westy - 4 Another great servant but his time must be nearly up
Cork - 5 A bit meh and didn’t really express himself in the game
Brownhill - 4 It might be me but I just don’t see it with Josh. Passing is poor, loses the ball easily and makes numerous mistakes
Wood - 5 Very quiet game and was handled well by the Leeds defenders
Vydra - 6 Brings a different angle to our play but it just didn’t work today

Barnes - 4 Another who’s time is nearly up.
Jay Rod - 4 He’s been stuck on 99 goals for ages and the way he’s playing it could be in another shirt when he gets his 100
JBG - 6 Thought he did quite well when he come on and made more happen in the 18 yard box

Not taking anything away from Leeds because they were excellent but we are an ageing, tiring team with very little creativity and as soon as we go a goal down it’s very unlikely we can get back into games. A massive summer in Burnley’s history is coming up and we need to grab it with both hands starting with tying the manager down and then onto signing players that are going to be 1st teamers, not squad players, because we can’t last another season without investment

Can I ask what is persuading people to give Vydra ratings of 6 & even 7?

I’ve rated him 4 because he should have scored at 0-1 and then set up their second with a poor header. Both those were costly so I really don’t get the high ratings for him today.

Peacock-Farrell 5- Hard to gauge his performances as the majority of his time in the first team is spent picking the ball out of the net.
Lowton 5 - Up against the best player on the pitch
Tarkowski 5 - Seemed intent on getting a booking and even failed at that.
Mee 6 - Never really noticed him that much to be honest
Taylor 7 - Some good forward play from Charlie and defended well.
Brownhill 5 - His best position isn't wide right
Cork 5 - Looked very leggy
Westwood 5 - Lots of running but little real impact
McNeil 6 - Faded quickly after half time. Easily our best player and needs looking after properly.
Vydra 6 - Finishing could have been better even if you credit the keeper with good saves.
Wood 5 - Looked very dangerous for about 5 minutes.

Jay 5 - He looks like he has lost his spark
Barnes 5 - Difficult after a long lay off coming back into a side creating very few chances.

Beach bums the lot of them, bad finishing let us down, 16 shots 4 on target Burnley and 16 shots 6 on target them, nowt in it but they looked like they wanted it more, we are still Premier league so we can do the double over them next season be reight.

My 5 (just under par) is hardly blaming anyone.
He got a 5 owing to being in no man's land, when he should have been first to the ball. Not that I have to explain to you.

We get posts on these threads dropping points for missed chances etc and I thought he made two big errors today that could have seen us get to 1-1 but go 2-0 behind. He’s played so well recently but I just don’t get a 6 or 7 today for him.

So often these days we really can't regularly match up to even the mid table/average sides in this division and unfortunately it's been allowed to get to a point where to sort it out really isn't going to be easy or indeed cheap. We're competing against teams who have spent shed loads just to finish half way up and it increasingly shows. Whether we have the resources and whether we can find the right players to arrest it remains to be seen, but nobody who has watched us this season can have any doubts that without some serious changes next season is pretty much certain to be even worse than this. I never question our player's commitment and how much they give for the cause because I never feel it wavers, but that can only take you so far and our lack of quality at this level is beginning to be hopelessly exposed far too often, not just against the "big" teams, but against many of the also rans too and that's the big worry. This season Dyche has worked his biggest miracle, but getting things right in the summer will possibly be an even bigger challenge.
