Clarets Store International Order
Anyone ever have trouble themselves purchasing from the online store from outside the UK (or in the UK?) I’m having a heck of a time from the United States. I tried my bank card and for some reason I get a white screen with an error code. I tried my credit card and it won’t recognize it. I even called the store at Turf Moor (after fumbling through how to call a number in Burnley UK from a US iPhone) to try and just make a purchase over the phone but they directed me to email. I have emailed and am now waiting to hear back. Is this a lost cause? Or might this be a regular problem? Or maybe this is a user error?

Never had a problem with Clarets Store but have had trouble on some sites that, ridiculously, don’t allow enough spaces for a 16 digit card.

Not sure why you've started another thread. Have a look at your original post, there are quite a few comments/suggestions on it.WiscoClaret wrote: ↑Mon May 17, 2021 3:26 pmAnyone ever have trouble themselves purchasing from the online store from outside the UK (or in the UK?) I live on the Isle of Man where’s there’s no difference in post but if I order online a programme etc they charge £15 P&p. I emailed and they just said that’s the deal with the post office .......
So now I get a friend to post them to me.

I live in Michigan. I order stuff at Christmas each year and have never had any issue. I used my credit card. Everyone I have dealt with has been great.

I did that one late last night and forgot I did. I’ll delete this one.

I've ordered a few on my credit card items over the year, never had any issues at all. Shipping is a little on the expensive side though, but it's not as though I order a lot of items.

We were in Midland last summer for a soccer tournament for my then 9 year old. I used to play rugby against Midland too, back in the nineties and early 2000's. In fact I blew out my first ACL there. Had a couple of good nights over there. At least I think I have!

Re: Clarets Store International Order
Update! I successfully ordered after trying 6 different cards from friends, sending four separate emails to the store email, the website email- and the general club email with no response... and calling the store in Burnley! At last, it is finished. For now...

That's terrible. Might even be worth trying to contact the chairmen to share your experience. If we are to appeal to a wider audience we need to use PayPal payment processing or something similar so we can make it easier for people to order abroad.WiscoClaret wrote: ↑Fri May 28, 2021 4:29 amUpdate! For the record it's very similar the other way round. Different banks and security setups make it hard to order stuff online from the USA using UK bank cards. They pretty much only work when you can use PayPal or similar and don't have to verify your address.

I just shared on twitter and several folks retweeted...so we will see if it gets his attention. Feel free to RT or comment on it. Maybe we could gain some steam.
I can imagine it is quite frustrating the other way around as well.

I've forwarded the comments/experiences of Wisco onto the Club in the hope that they can put some improvements in place.
