Re: Phase 2 renewals UPDATE
Just dug out this email of 26 October last year, after I enquired about my seat:
“Hi
Your seats are safe. The club have extended the reservations of season tickets to the 21/22 season. This would mean that you will have the option to renew your season ticket seat during the 21/22 season, without the risk of losing it.
Kind regards
Ticketing Team
Burnley Football Club”
I’ll be sharing that email with them if it transpires than any of my family’s seats have been flogged already.

How do people know their seats have been sold to someone else? Thought Phase 2 didn’t start til tomorrow? Will ticket office be open to
personal callers tomorrow?

Re: Re: Phase 2 renewals UPDATE
I understand that you would have already had either an email or a phone call if your seat had been given to someone else. I would expect the TO to be open. Ticket Office ticketoffice@burnleyfc.com 01282 446800 (option 2 or 3) Monday - Friday, 10am to 4pm.Brucefanclaret wrote: ↑Sun May 23, 2021 1:23 pmHow do people know their seats have been sold to someone else? Thanks, Leisure - sighs of relief here, but fingers still crossed! Think I’ll take a trip over there tomorrow and talk to the staff in person - they have always been really helpful in the past.

This almost reads that it's the fault of the 132 that they may be taking seats, completely unbeknown to them, from phase 2. It's a complete mess, but surely blaming those moved isn't the correct message.Leisure wrote: ↑Sun May 23, 2021 1:06 pmBut it's not just 100 or 132 or it may even be less, it's also affecting the family/friends etc of those who have been told that their seat is longer available for them to renew. Re: Re: Phase 2 renewals UPDATE
I don't think it is at all.
It is putting the blame squarely at the feet of the club, I think the point that is being made is that it almost definitely won't have been made clear to the 132 that they MAY be taking a seat of a Phase Two supporter.
That when they take their 'new' seat on the opening game they may be sat with the friends and family of said previous occupant to a less than warm welcome.
Re: Re: Phase 2 renewals UPDATE
Nonsense! I never said, nor intended to say, that there was any blame on any of the 132. What I am saying it that allowing those fans to take seats which other fans were told would be reserved for them, is to me just compounding the problem. Now, instead of 132 fans being upset due to having to move, there's the potential for another 132+ being similarly upset! They may not even be aware that their new seats were 'reserved' for Phase 2 renewers.
Re: Phase 2 renewals UPDATE
As I mentioned earlier we’ve been given 3 seats (we were in the 132) and as much as I don’t like them I’m conscious that they may have been season ticket holders now in phase 2. We were certainly never told that was the case, to be honest if we find they were and are faced with some annoyances from people around us that will do it for me I’ll be seeking 3 refunds and letting the powers that be know exactly what they’ve done. Hopefully things will be calm but time will tell.
Re: Phase 2 renewals UPDATE
Thanks for clarifying. So other than the 10000 seats already taken by Phase 1 fans, were you just given carte blanche to choose from the rest of the seats?beddie wrote: ↑Sun May 23, 2021 3:03 pmAs I mentioned earlier we’ve been given 3 seats (we were in the 132) and as much as I don’t like them I’m conscious that they may have been season ticket holders now in phase 2. He always buys his ticket in full in the last week of the window, that is his choice and the club didn't seem to mind when they were rattling the buckets in the mid 2000's. Now they have an almost full ground, the fans (and many of them long standing) are being treated very shoddily.
What the club fail to grasp is that going on the game is less about the spectacle on the pitch but the whole matchday experience and that includes meeting up with friends and family and the time outside the ninety minutes. You take away the 'people' element' of the day and you dilute everything.
The club have already done this to Phase Two renewals, they then did it to the 132 displaced fans and they have returned to do it again the some Phase Two fans and the people they sit with.
It leaves a very sour taste.

This is so true, not only has this upset me being one of the supporters who has lost his seat, but also some fans around me. I fear for the 80 year old man who has been going for years sitting with his friends, but is now left in a position that he might just never go again, and that's not right at all.Goody1975 wrote: ↑Sun May 23, 2021 3:24 pmIt isn't your fault Beddie at all. Not sure just who the 80 year old is but if it's either Minimoog or his friend, I'm led to believe that they have been sorted now by the Ticket Office.davetheclaret wrote: ↑Sun May 23, 2021 7:58 pmThis is so true, not only has this upset me being one of the supporters who has lost his seat, but also some fans around me. Steady on.....I'm only 54
My mates not much older but is very old school when it comes to paying cash only and not much for
social media, so unless the ticket office send him a letter which they did, he would not have had a clue about what was going on.
But thanks to Elaine in the ticket office he has got lucky this time.........

That's my point none of us do, but there could others out there maybe not 80, but people who maybe are on their own all week and the chance to sit with people they have made friends with over the years is taken from them, things like this can really change a persons life, i've seen things like this really change people, i always looked upon Burnley as a caring club, now im not so sure.

My ticketing account has option to pay deposit amount but when on page it’s just a red bar with a cross in it. Appreciate it’s early in the day but interested to know if anyone else has issue so I can try and sort as soon as possible rather than wait
Thanks in advance.

It's gone live, I've just managed to purchase mine.
No mention of seats, just ST deposit.
Disappointingly, I've not been able to use my OnAccount balance, which has my refund from 19/20 on it. Maybe one day I'll be able to use it...

I have just paid the deposit for my daughters ticket, again no mention of seat or stand.
She took the refund earlier because she is likely to be on a masters course and was unlikely to get to many games next season. As the course is in Leeds she now has paid the deposit.
But my son and I have renewed our old seats and her ticket could be anywhere

Re: Phase 2 renewals UPDATE
think you need each ticket 'holder' to be one of your 'friends + family'
Then enter the number of deposits you wish to pay then drop down the page and include each friend + family member then proceed to check out

I'm not paying a deposit for a "no seat number" season ticket, you could end up in a different stand for a lot more money, sat in area you don't like with a shite view, what a way to run the club, if they don't sort this out and I miss my normal seat or the early bird price then that will be 5 season's tickets sales and a couple of grand they will have missed out on plus all what we spend on match days, I've missed out on not going last season like everybody else and that was the first time in almost 40 season's, but if they can't tell me what seat or stand I'm in yet still want me to pay a deposit then I think it's time to call it a day.

My problem is trying to login to my ticketing account. Ive tried everything over last few weeks. I created a link a few weeks ago and was able to view my payment history etc and discovered they owe me £94 from 2019-20 season. However system will not allow me to log on. I clicked on "forgotten password" but it says email address not recognised even though they have sent an email to me. Ive created a new account but it wont link and says i already have an account. Wasted 3 hours this morning simply trying to pay my £10 deposit. When I had the access problems 3 weeks ago I emailed them and was told there was no problem on my account!! Also that my £94 would have to be used to buy something in the club shop despite never receiving any confirmation of options of refund etc. I am seriously considering not bothering with a season ticket after the stress this has caused. Anyone else having access problems?

Re: Re: Phase 2 renewals UPDATE
I think, in fairness, this is just about making the payment process for BFC easier. Realistically, I think you will get the seat you last held but the club are making a dogs dinner of communicating this (massive shock).ClaretMov wrote: ↑Mon May 24, 2021 10:43 amI'm not paying a deposit for a "no seat number" season ticket, you could end up in a different stand for a lot more money, sat in area you don't like with a shite view, what a way to run the club, if they don't sort this out and I miss my normal seat or the early bird price then that will be 5 season's tickets sales and a couple of grand they will have missed out on plus all what we spend on match days, I've missed out on not going last season like everybody else and that was the first time in almost 40 season's, but if they can't tell me what seat or stand I'm in yet still want me to pay a deposit then I think it's time to call it a day.
The £10 is refundable, so if all else fails and they try to move you somewhere else it's a polite 'no thankyou, give me my deposit back'.
The fact Leisure has asked a fairly direct 'is the deposit for a seat or your seat and had no response, is quite concerning though.

You probably wont get your normal seat if you dont pay the £10 deposit. It would seem that the best thing to do would be to pay the deposit and if when the time comes you dont get your normal seat ask for a refund on your £10.
Nothing lost doing it that way.
