New Kits 21/22
New Kits 21/22
Any ideas when next season’s kits will be released? Hoping with the new owners they’ll release them earlier than their predecessors.
Re: New Kits 21/22
The current home kit would have been worn against Brighton in the last game of the 2019-20 campaign if it wasn’t for the issues with Love Bet.
With a new sponsor in the offing, I’d guess that it could be a bit of a wait until the new ones are revealed.

Re: New Kits 21/22
What were the issues with LoveBet?
There was no change with either sponsor or supplier so shouldn’t have been any issue
Re: New Kits 21/22
Don’t know about next seasons kit but this seasons yellow shirt is still £45 and the home & away are £22.50.Don’t think sales have been great due to COVID and all sizes are still available so get them on at £10 or £15 a shirt and get ready for new stock.

Really? Surprised we’ve not had some leaks then...
Re: New Kits 21/22
Are we still with Umbro next season ?
Re: New Kits 21/22
Yes. Last year of the original three year contract.

Re: New Kits 21/22
Last year delayed because LoveBet hadn’t paid up for 2018/19. They should have been on the shirts next season but that’s not going to happen. We haven’t secured a sponsor as yet so it could be another late one.

Will we ever go sponsorless again? Suppose there's too much money in it to consider that these days...

Are we to expect a huge deal for the new shirt sponsors?
Isn’t this the type of thing the new board are pinning their hopes on to raise cash?

I look forward to seeing what they pull out the bag then with this one.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Sat May 22, 2021 5:16 pmPinning their hopes on us being better commercially all round and that will include the shirt deal
Do we know what the current deal is worth?

Worth nothing now. I don’t think LoveBet are even trading. We’ve removed all their advertising other than on the shirts.djemba-djemba wrote: ↑Sat May 22, 2021 5:26 pmI look forward to seeing what they pull out the bag then with this one.

Didn't someone mention on here recently that we had already secured a shirt sponsor from a well-known company?

Indeed, though it was reputed the shirt and sleeve combo deal was signed for £7.5m per seasonClaretTony wrote: ↑Sat May 22, 2021 5:31 pmWorth nothing now. I don’t think LoveBet are even trading. We’ve removed all their advertising other than on the shirts.
My understanding from reports I have seen was that the advance on the deal was large enough to run into this season, and that the deal had been reduced to £7.25m for this season and the same again next season, of course since then it appears even that hasn't materialised and as you day LoveBet appears to be a dormant company now

Re: New Kits 21/22
So we secured the shirt sponsorship money (hence us retaining their logo on the shirts) but presumably we had an additional deal for ground sponsorship that we had not been paid for and removed that advertising?Chester Perry wrote: ↑Sat May 22, 2021 5:53 pmIndeed, though it was reputed the shirt and sleeve combo deal was signed for £7.5m per season

Re: New Kits 21/22
That is difficult to determine - The new owners changed the format of the boards on the Bob Lord stand from double stack to single stack and probably increased the price, hence the change of profile in sponsors there - they are much more in camera shot than those on the Jimmy Mac/Cricket Field and the boards are a little bigger (that said some of the names feature on all three stands) - the club have had 3 boards carrying the clubs identity on the Bob Lord since the changes, 7 on the Jimmy Mac and 3 on the Cricket field - what has been noticeable is the increasingly local profile on those hoardings only Stanley (tools), Bristol St Motors and the betting partner are the remaining non local advertisers

Re: New Kits 21/22
I think it is more likely that there was enough to see out the season on the shirt but not all the other additional stuff that came with it - which means the shirt deal was less that £7.5 in reality because of the add ons

Re: New Kits 21/22
as with the T V deal it will probably come in stages with as much as half up front - there was probably a conditional element to the fee for avoiding relegation and there were likely to be bonuses included as well if we qualified for Europe or won a cup (we got a bonus when we came 7th last time)djemba-djemba wrote: ↑Sat May 22, 2021 6:43 pmI’d have thought they’d have been made to pay up front each season.

Despite whinging when the first images of the home kit wet leaked this year, I think all three kits have been great. Hope next years are as good. Any word on sponsor Tony (even if you can’t say)?ClaretTony wrote: ↑Sat May 22, 2021 8:25 pmI knew about the yellow & black kits early in 2019/20 season but heard nothing this year. I'm hoping someone sets up a company called "Anti-Football" and become our shirt sponsors just so we can annoy everyone even more !

I would expect Checketts to be a major player in this side of things for us and he joins the board in June doesn't he ?

technically he has been a board member since the day of the takeover, he is free to dedicate more time to us in June when his stint in London for the Mormons completesVegas Claret wrote: ↑Sat May 22, 2021 11:25 pmI would expect Checketts to be a major player in this side of things for us and he joins the board in June doesn't he ?

Re: New Kits 21/22
In my calls with the club about sponsorship, it was pretty much said new sponsor in place and they couldn't comment at this time.
I threw a few names at them but no indication who.
As others have said believe it is a well know name and not a gambling company.

I assume we might get some indication on this soon? You would think the sponsors name would be on the new seasons shirts if the photos have been taken whoever it may be.

me neither, and while they were a feature of a successful part of or history which remains in living memory, they are not the essential element some believe, though none of us should knock the personal attachment others have to such elements - my favourite strips are the early 70's BFC logo bothe the claret and white versions

Maybe not the "essential element" in your opinion!

I’d happily have hooped socks every season.
