Why on earth would you expect ALK to do that? They are not a charity nor have they bought the club as a hobby.
ALK primarily invested in the club to turn a profit, if their investment in and subsequent management of Burnley FC (The business) is successful, then the club will be able to to repay or at least service (pay the annual interest on) that debt, along with paying hefty annual salaries/bonuses to the people who ALK appoint to manage/direct the club for them and ultimately provide a healthy return to ALK on their own original investment. I don't see how ALK could achieve all those aims without our remaining in the Premiership or at worst bouncing between the Premiership and Championship, so I have no doubt that this is what ALK are planning to do.
However, if ALK have got their plan wrong and we were to go down and stay down, then ???????? Has it been ten year's yet since things went pear shaped at Bolton?

Which teams specifically are you envious of? Sunderland, Portsmouth, Wigan, Bradford, even perhaps Leeds, or how about Bolton, the money that they 'threw at it' put them ten years ahead of us.

I don’t think charity is the right word. But his statement is right. Why would ALK pay for something they can get for free. They are not here for any other reason than to take as much money out of the club as possible.

Not a lot we can do about it as I keep being told. We just have to hope it works out.

I liked him too. Wicked cross on him. Played about 30 games for Nimes and scored 4 goals/3 assists (or something like that). Not amazing stats but potentially hindered by the team. I thought he’d be a fantastic sun winger to throw on with 10 minutes to go with the order to get the crosses in to Woody.

Plus Nimes have now been relegated, so he could see the error of his ways

IMO (and it is not worth much) these are the signings we should be looking at. However, if they keep inflating that #... I’m sure we will be gone.

Pretty decent bid. I'm surprised given he missed the second half of last season with injury. I thought we'd sign a more experienced cover (a Cahill, Dawson type) and see how he recovers from injury.

Inc addons we were meant to pay £15 million for Gibson when we signed him 3 yrs ago.

I'd expect to pay a similar amount for this lad based on age, contract length etc.

I don’t understand why people equate a good transfer window with how much is spent (Fulham). we need to buy the RIGHT players they can cost 50p for all I care. Clearly we will need to spend some money I can only imagine it won’t be close to the £40 mill some have mentioned unless we have a significant sale.

Agreed, it won't be anywhere near £40m without selling Tarky & Pope. Can see a CB for £10-12m, a CM or RW for £6m, a couple of OOC freebies & a couple of younger players to develop from lower leagues.

I would love to see a detailed analysis of this from you, with cost/revenue breakdowns and including the roadmap of all the other costs including a full list of assumptions and risks, bearing in mind each year your are planning budgets forward not looking back at results.
