Never read as much rubbish, he would be lucky to make minimum wage

Self employed courier and delivery drivers work for appitance and rarely make minimum wage, the same applies to deliveroo drivers.
Many of the drivers are on furlough so the money they make delivering tops up their Furlough wages and more.

Personally I average about £3k a month before taxes and running costs (take home is about £2k minimum, but I'm sure I can increase that with the right accountant)
I have every other weekend off (Friday afternoon to Sunday afternoon) , along with every tuesday and Thursday evening to see my daughter plus I drop her at school those 2 days.

I know several people who earn £1k a week and more before taxes, I've seen their earnings on the apps during chats.

Most of us work for all 3 of the main food apps, Uber Eats, Just Eat and Deliveroo, usually a combination of 2 at a time, but some lads have all 3 going at the same time.

I use a car, but if I had a moped I'd make closer to £1k a week on average before taxes and costs, as mopeds get priority on the orders and are of course cheaper to run.

I don't work a regular 8-5 shift, I work breakfasts, have a break for 1-2hrs, then work lunchtime and then another break for 1-2 hours and then work teatime and finish at 9pm usually.

£300 a week is less than minimum wage assuming it’s full time
They work evenings or weekends.
A cyclist can earn £80-100 on a good evening on a Saturday in the right place and not start work until 3pm, finishing at 9pm.

Pointless trying to argue it really, fact is… my point
Wasn't going to come back on this point, but your point appears wrong to me as "cricketfield" has demonstrated.
To lose £68,000 on a salary of £100,000 due to furlough (max £32,000) would mean that you were paying zero tax, NI or pension.
"cricketfield" correctly pointed out that after tax and NI your net pay would be £66,689. I would add that anyone on a gross annual salary of £100,00 would normally expect to pay around £10,000 -15,000 in pension contributions, so your £100,000 gross could quite easily be well below £60,000 net.
So even allowing for that fact that the £32,000 furlough is taxed, (so net £24,000) I don't see how anyone previously on £100,000 would end up £68,000 worse off.

That’s assuming the people had a job to return back to, it’s conveniently forgotten about that the jobs weren’t guaranteed post furlough period, that’s why I initially raised concerns about people playing catch up with their finances it wasn’t purely down to the 80% although it was a factor in part, it was down to people having periods of unemployment or accepting other types of employment on reduced wages to previous.
