Oh come on. I could have shown you the massive barn conversion right at the bottom of Ightenhill Park Lane, with the 10 bedrooms, swimming pool and cinema etc etc. Was £4.75M a few yrs ago. There’s always an odd exception to the norm. But your statement was prices in Rawtenstall are treble. That’s simply not true, and I don’t have an axe to grind, I don’t live in Burnley.
Theres some Cracking conversions in Rawtenstall..but that isnt one of them ..a truly Awful build.

It wasn't me that said it, just pointing out the ridiculous price (and garish taste) of the place.

Christ, house prices where I am are eyewatering. £360k for a 2 bed mid terrace. No chance of us getting on property ladder any time soon.

Agreed, property booming at the moment. I’m glad I’m mortgage free in my large house in Broughton, Preston, and my next move will be cash in on it and downsize. There is at least one good thing about getting older.

I was going to put in an offer for the one at the bottom of Ightenhill Park Lane but on one of the photographs shown by the estate agent there was a framed, signed Blackburn shirt on a wall. It put me off so I stayed where I am.

Where are you chris? I've jyst bought an end terrace 2 bed in Ilkley for 250, and Ilkley is known to be expensive. I guess you are down south? I moved back up from Surrey recently, partly so I could afford to buy a house.

I'm in Altrincham, about 8 miles south of Manchester. My wife is from round here, so got family close by. It's a nice spot. Handy for getting to Old Trafford for the cricket too!
