I've never heard of him either, so will be interesting to see how he gets on.
Managed at both club and international level though.

I know virtually nothing about this guy apart from the fact he managed Australia in a WC finals, and I imagine his knowledge of the Scottish game will be limited, so it'll be important for him to appoint an assistant with plenty of knowhow as too how the Scottish game operates, and the Old Firm derby will certainly be a culture shock for him.

He will be hounded out the door. As soon as they lose to rangers in the old firm the fans will be baying for blood.

looks to be a crazy appointment. Supposedly "big club" but they go for a bloke who both plied his trade in Australia. Their football standard is similar to our pub leagues.
What were they thinking when they went after this bloke?

As David Dickinson would famously say cheap as chips. I notice he's only been appointed on a rolling 12 month contract, so if it should go belly up for him and more importantly Celtic it'll be a damned sight easier for them to part company.Wile E Coyote wrote: ↑Thu Jun 10, 2021 10:24 pmlooks to be a crazy appointment. He managed Melbourne Victory the club I “follow” here. He was uninspiring. His football was tippy tappy, sideways, backwards with not much forward thinking. His star player was Besart Berisha, who’s biggest quality was falling over, or pushing and shoving the opposition. Can’t see him lasting long at Celtic.
