Tonight's football
Tonight's football
So let the games commence.
Turkey v Italy.
Can't see anything other than an Italian victory. With Roberto Mancini they could do very well.

I'm not bothering.
Got Nadal & Novak on. No VAR. No cheating.

I’ll be watching the VAR decisions with interest. Hopefully it sets a very strong precedent, which can only help the Premier League, because we’ve definitely cocked it up thus far.conyoviejo wrote: ↑Fri Jun 11, 2021 7:23 pmCan't be @rsed ,I've seen that many bad VAR decisions already this season,so I will be watching emmerdale and Corrie .

Re: Tonight's football
Yes it's finally here at long last, I wasn't aware of how well Italy had been going under Mancini 27 games unbeaten, and they've won their last 8 without conceding, that's very Italian like isn't it.
2-0 Italy tonight, and they could well be a dark horse later in the tournament.
16,000 in the ground tonight which is better than an empty stadium, and it looks a good atmosphere judging by the TV pics, 3,000 visiting fans from Turkey also which always adds to the party.
Let's hope tonight starts a months festival of football as we all need a tonic after a tough last 15 months.

Andrea Bocelli performing a great rendition of Nessun Dorma, although what all the stuff with the girl and the balloons was about I have no idea.

Uefa officials thinking up more fabulous ideas: radio controlled toy cars; enough fireworks to burn down Rome; VAR; balloons with girls. It’s all there

Good job it's not at Anfield.
It'd have been on bricks/on fire long before kick off.

I wonder if they'd charge the going rate for "looking after your car mate" or would it be less for a smaller one?ElectroClaret wrote: ↑Fri Jun 11, 2021 8:19 pmGood job it's not at Anfield.

Would've been a hell of a harsh penalty.

Was it Big Bang Theory when Howard’s moon rover delivered the ball at 2mph?

Re: Tonight's football
How were they actually surprised that the linesman flagged? What a stupid corner routine.

Did it go back to the taker? I couldn’t tell.
You can’t be offside from a corner (or goal kick or throw in)
