Trippier £40mil
Fabrizio Romano is usually pretty bang on. People still think we could bring Trippier home?
Atlético Madrid turned down an opening proposal from Manchester United for Kieran Trippier. Price tag still around €40m to sell the right back. #MUFC #Atleti
...and Tom Heaton completed his medical with Manchester United today - he’s set to sign until June 2023. Red circle #ManUtd

Re: Trippier £40mil
It would be great to see Tripps back in the PL even if it was with Man Utd.
Heats going there will be an experienced back up for De Gea and Henderson, unless of course Ole is thinking of cashing in on DDG.
I just checked and De Gea has been at OT for a decade now, I hadn't realised he'd been there that long how time flies.

It’s hard to believe it’s eight years since Ferguson retiredtiger76 wrote: ↑Wed Jun 16, 2021 9:01 pmIt would be great to see Tripps back in the PL even if it was with Man Utd.

Re: Trippier £40mil
A lot of money for someone who is 30 and wouldn't be a guaranteed starter with Wan Bissaka as the first choice.

Re: Trippier £40mil
it's a 35 million buy out clause for Trippier, I wouldn't expect Athletico would get more than 20-25 for him though

Re: Trippier £40mil
I saw that. Made me feel a bit stupid for thinking we might re-sign him on a free next year.
No way they’ll get €40m for a player who cost half that, is now two years older and is ooc next summer. If I were him I’d stay and call Man United next summer.

Re: Trippier £40mil
Read somewhere that OGS was looking at playing Wan Bissaka as a 3rd CH. Maybe looking at Tripps as a wing back ?

Re: Trippier £40mil
Well De Gea is the bigger earner, and also a good few years older, so I suspect if Utd can they'll try and move him on this summer.minnieclaret wrote: ↑Wed Jun 16, 2021 9:24 pmOne of DdG or Henderson is leaving for sure. Tom will be No.2.
Heaton is a perfectly adequate number 2, and he may even be in contention for the regular spot if he shows the form he did well at Burnley.

Lee Grant but I think he’s leaving along with Sergio Romero.

Aren't United extending Grants contract?ClaretTony wrote: ↑Wed Jun 16, 2021 9:49 pmLee Grant but I think he’s leaving along with Sergio Romero.

To be fair, I only saw comments like that when we thought we might get bought out by a consortium who actually had money!People still think we could bring Trippier home

From the BBC gossip column.
Paris St-Germain have joined Manchester United in hoping to sign England full-back Kieran Trippier, 30, from Atletico Madrid.
