Walsden are struggling at home to Rochdale too. The league is looking wide open this season.

Watching on a live stream. Walsden turning it around sadly. Not helped by some poor Rochdale bowling.

Stumbled across it whilst just looking for their score to be honest but it's not been good viewing. Just passing time until the footy starts :D

On a similar vein and following on to last week's comments re: East Lancs ..... skittled out for 51 and a 150 run loss to a Bacup side with only 2 previous wins this season, leaving them vying with Great Harwood for bottom spot in Division 2 ...

The top 4 play each other next week, with Lowerhouse ( 4th ) at Norden ( 3rd ), and Clitheroe ( 2nd ) visiting Walsden ( 1st ) .... 8-)

Yes, just Tony. My story is always that we couldn’t afford a full surname but my auntie was actually responsible. I was Anthony John at birth but my auntie visited hospital and asked my mum what she would call me day to day and she said Tony because that’s what someone named Anthony usually got. “Why not Christen him Tony?” she then suggested.

Now, Anthony John sounds fine but Tony John sounds like some third rate comedian so the John went as well and I’m just Tony.

I knew an older chap called Roger Farley through Blackburn Rugby Club for many years. At his funeral a few years ago, it was revealed that his middle name was " Boyd " ... Many years later, Roger ( who went from a Blackburn terrace to become a Northern Circuit High Court Judge ) asked his mother why ?

" Your Dad had a friend called Boyd and he and his wife couldn't have children, at the head-wetting Boyd offered your Dad £10 if we gave you his name .. " Roger looked at her astonished, " You gave me that name just for a tenner ? " .... Mother shot back at him, " Roger, it was just before the War, there was no work around, for £10 we'd have called you Phyllis ! " :)

Colne need to make sure they don't sign a really good pro next season. Last thing we want to do is get promoted again
