Yes you do have to be sharp, the best bet if you ask me is too tick as many of the ones you know ASAP, and then tackle the rest, if you spend ages on questions you're not certain about you'll end up wasting valuable seconds, but everyone has their own methods for playing quizzes, so whatever suits you best I guess.
