No idea then but those pictures show how bad the choice of blue is. It’s like you would see at Ewood.
It also looks like they didn’t prep the gates very well.
They look very patchy

Just watching a video on you tube and looks like there are a load of seats being taken out of the front of the Bob lord stand to maybe make room for the new dugouts

I'd hazard a guess it's from the Lauren Bracewell v Sammy Fleck 'Would you rather' video.

They're the old dug out seats.
There are also rows of seats missing from in front of the Directors box

Also appears the black/dark grey paint has carried through to the inside.
Cables for the new digital signage hanging out of the wall too.

Might see a few more fireworks on the touchline if they are closer together. Especially with Woan.

I doubt SD will ever sit in one of the new chairs in the dugout as I don’t think he ever sat in the old ones.

Any chance they are moving the directors box to the longside and the new facilities there?

None, Those boxes have been sold out and all the directors rooms were refurbished not too long ago, in 2018 I think.

This is just me guessing, but I imagine they’ve taken all those seats out to make room to do the work. You’d think the new dugouts will be either side of the halfway line and therefore they’ll be taking the seats out closer to the camera as well. But those are big areas so it’s likely they’ll build the new dugouts then put back the seats surrounding them.

So there is no truth that those seats have been removed for a stage to be built for the American cheer leaders we are having next season

If we’re going to have entertainment I think I speak for us all in demanding Chico accompanied by the Swanky Pants dog troupe.

I’d forgotten about that. First day of the season and then an hour or more sat in the stand waiting for the fire brigade to turn up and rescue him! Was never sure why we couldn’t have kicked off anyway.

And an announcement telling us of the delay and then a further announcement that with the parachutist now back down the players could come out to warm up when we could all still see him up there. People parked on the cricket ground were asked to go and move their cars and were then refused entry back into the ground.

Only a short while ago they were still offering boxes plus selling individual games. Are you saying that even the super box has been sold?

I thought it was reported that they had all sold within about a fortnight of being on sale - the club has long maintained they had a waiting list for hospitality and I saw this as clear evidence of that fact. Lets hope it has been a similar level of demand for all the other hospitality offerings - the club needs those kinds of revenues

That's what I was told. No idea who has bought them. I think there are eight of them. It was all planned to have been done last summer.

Also, noticed on the article that there's no mention of it being a 5 year commitment.

Also notice they are advertising it as “From just £71+vat per match” on the page, but when click get details it tells you it’s £45000
I know it’s aimed at businesses, but for a one off treat individuals might just pay the £71

The £71 per match is for the Jimmy Mac Stand - the £45,000 is for the new boxes in the Longside.

Has the subject of illuminating the 'Burnley Football Club' signage on the Bob Lord ever been seriously discussed? Would look fantastic that.
My other thougt is how long this current design fad for all things 'grey' is going to last. You see it everywhere now, indoors and out. Remember shabby chic anyone?!

I think the area around the Burnley Football Club signage on the Bob Lord was Shabby Chic for about 20 years until it got a long overdue lick of paint a couple of years ago

And I wouldn’t be paying £71 plus VAT for a seat in the Jimmy Mac lower either.

£71.00 plus vat
Never mind that, get yourself a match day ticket and pop across the road for some lovely Fish, Chips and mushy peas for about £5.00 from the Chippy. It’ll make it a much better “Match Day Experience”

Match Day Experience - I know some enjoy the hospitality but I’d much prefer sorting myself out pre-match and then taking my own seat in the stand.

The Bob Lord stand would look far better if they built the other end to match the area above the club shop. At least the refreshments kiosk and turnstiles would then be under cover.

I was told 18 months ago they were being built to the same spec as the players & manager boxes. If so they will be extremely plush.

That photograph makes it look like a solitary confinement cell !!
It looks very claustrophobic, but intimate.
It doesn't sell the idea/concept to me tbh.
Only one side can see the TV (if that is what it is) and the occupant of middle seats on the
left has to disturb the people sitting either side of them should they wish to leave the table
for any reason.

Directors box seats now up for auction along with the old dugouts and various of the banners used to cover seats during lockdown
