RIP Bobby Clark

Post by Quickenthetempo » Mon Jul 05, 2021 12:42 pm

Such sad news today that Mr Padiham Bobby Clark has passed away. Absolute gem of a bloke who supported everything that was good in the town.

RIP Bobby.

It was a privilege to know him and an honour to see him last Sunday when he was given the Freedom of Padiham.

I'm not sure. I believe he was allowed out of hospital to receive his award so a family member or carer perhaps?

Great bloke, chewed my ear off many a time when I’d visit pubs local to Padihams ground, there was a picture of him on the wall in his weight lifting days in one of the pubs, that pub shut many years ago now so not sure of the name.
Lovely man and I’d always give him my time as I enjoyed his company and passion

Think there’s still a couple of those pictures up in the Hare & Hounds.

I didn’t know him and have never heard of him but he really does sound to have been a great character for the area of Padiham and how well he supported everything going on in and around it. I’m sure the community will not be the same without him. RIP Mr Clark.

I'm sure he once told me he was responsible for getting the bandstand in burnley moved up to memorial park. He was hard to understand after a few beers but a great character and will be missed in Padiham for sure.
