Or better, VAR pings the referee there’s something to look at, he checks it out and awards a foul against Immobile for simulation, chalks the goal off and gives him a yellow

He seemed to be grimacing as he went across to join the celebrations so I think he was probably hurt and in pain.

The only way to rid the game of this cancer is to:
1. Make it a red card offence inside the box.
2. Show all the cheating and theatrics of that game accompanied by the Benny Hill theme as the end credits roll.

I'll go for number 1. I'm not sure I'd want to watch 30 minutes of repeats is Spain play Portugal. Or listen to be my hill for 20 minutes in some Premier league games although admittedly I don't often watch matches involving teams in red shirts without Stoke or Middlesbrough in the top flight. Or Barnsley or Bristol City.
