Great story showcasing the power for good of a fan owned community oriented club.

Glad to see a club which values it's community and local roots, well done Motherwell.

Just one query I always thought their nickname was The Steelmen.

It is or ‘Well . dossers is an unofficial one but it is believed to be related to the steel industry - ‘dossing about ‘on the night shift is one theory I’ve seen …

Well given that the now demolished Ravenscraig Steelworks were located bang in the heart of the town, it should come as no surprise that there's a connection with the steel industry, I wasn't aware of the dossers nickname though I have to say, it's amazing what random facts this forum throws up at times.

People skiving on the night shift never. :lol:

‘Well are my favourite Scottish club I’ve seen them play a few times - that said thinking about it I’ve been to Palmerston more often just because it’s closer to home
