We are entitled to a compensation package because of his age and having offered him a new deal

You might be thinking of Macparlane or someone of a similar name who worked with Warburton at Brentford then joined Burnley to work on our recruitment (helped recruit Joey and Andre). However Warburto is a good friend of SD so I believe

Yes Jimmy Dunne joined the season after he left I think - Last time I saw a mention of Frank McParland he was linked to one of the Newcastle takeover groups ?

Fair play to him. A championship club is a great move and I hope he proves he can play at that level. I think he’ll need an old head next to him.

Think its a good move and no doubt took place after a chat between SD and Warburton. It says SD must have been positive about him-he could develop nicely here

If you believe the rumour mill when Swansea were in for him they willing to pay £500k and we wanted "low 7 figures".
