Roger Moore and Tony Curtis. Theme tune was better than the programme to be honest.

Didn't Dennis Waterman write the feem toon and sing the feem toon?

That theme tune reminds me of a fruit machine I was addicted to in Balti King as a 16 year old

I went to put CHIPS a few minutes ago when I put the Sopranos one on but both clips on youtube I went on started with the episode rather than the theme tune

He obviously sung it, however contrary to popular belief he had no part in composing the song, that was done by Gerard Kelly & Patricia Waterman, (then Dennis's wife) hence the confusion I suppose.

No confusion mate really, I was just referring to the little Britain sketch with David walliams playing a miniature Dennis Waterman and announcing at every opportunity that he “wrote da feem toon, sang da feem toon”

Well whoever wrote it it's a great theme tune, and one that most folks will instantly recognise.
I too recall the Little Britain sketch, but whether that was an in joke between the cast I don't know.
