Re: Capacity V Brighton
Stop calling it a vaccine when we all know it's gene alteration therapy!
Re: Capacity V Brighton
It is certainly very scary to think where we could be in a few years. Passports expiring if you haven't had a booster, or haven't had a flu jab (because we can't risk overwhelming the NHS), or haven't managed to get your BMI quite low enough (because obesity increases your risk). Alcoholism could be "solved" by coupling your passport with how many units you can buy per week, for example. I think we need a long hard think about whether we want to go down this route.Murger wrote: ↑Tue Jul 20, 2021 5:49 pmI get that. But I no longer believe this is about controlling the virus. I mean there's the screenshot I posted above and an article I've just read about them looking at jailing journalists if they embarrass the government. This has all gone very grim, very quickly.

Given the daily embarrassment of this government there’s going to be a lot of jailed journalists then!Murger wrote: ↑Tue Jul 20, 2021 5:49 pmI get that. It's quite common for certain countries that you're vaccinated against certain viruses etc, has been for years.

If I sit next to you at TM will I get better phone signal?NottsClaret wrote: ↑Tue Jul 20, 2021 5:48 pmNot that it matters to me, I'm all double 5G'd up with my implants, but I wonder if we could just set the capacity at 19,999 and not bother with the hassle of vaccination passports?
How many times do we get more than that anyway, a couple of times a season?

But that's travelling to places where you can catch malaria etc, not in your own country wanting to go out for a pint.GodIsADeeJay81 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 20, 2021 6:08 pmIt's quite common for certain countries that you're vaccinated against certain viruses etc, has been for years.

I long for the days when we didn't look at human beings as simply vectors for disease transmission. We had a lot of fun!GodIsADeeJay81 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 20, 2021 6:22 pmSo you're absolutely confident you won't catch Covid down the pub?

Be careful there, SHP, you're wandering into dangerous territory. I know.Steve-Harpers-perm wrote: ↑Tue Jul 20, 2021 6:02 pmGiven the daily embarrassment of this government there’s going to be a lot of jailed journalists then!

Re: Capacity V Brighton
I've worked throughout the pandemic, including working as a mechanic on patient transport vehicles that I know have had Covid patients on them, so don't sit there and try to lecture me about leaving the house etc
My 2 teenage boys and their mum have had Covid in the last couple of weeks and I know for a fact my eldest was back down the pubs as soon as he could, but him catching it led to his brother and mum getting it
I'm double jabbed, so my risk of this thing killing me is far lower, but there are still people out there who aren't jabbed for varying reasons and some of them just refuse to have it because of some rubbish they've read online, similar to the MMR jabs.
Re: Capacity V Brighton
Who the hells lecturing who? You made an accusation and I responded with a question. So where's the lecture?GodIsADeeJay81 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 20, 2021 7:42 pmI've worked throughout the pandemic, including working as a mechanic on patient transport vehicles that I know have had Covid patients on them, so don't sit there and try to lecture me about leaving the house etc

Re: Capacity V Brighton
You responded with a stupid question, I was merely heading you off before you tried to lecture.
Of course I'm not sure, neither are you, but if you're going to be a selfish person who refuses to get jabbed, don't complain when the rest of us don't want to mingle with you.
It's bad enough we have idiots who still believe the false claims about MMR jabs, now we have idiots with this.
Re: Capacity V Brighton
If you'd actually read further up, I've had the jab. So I'm no anti-vaxxer.GodIsADeeJay81 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 20, 2021 7:58 pmYou responded with a stupid question, I was merely heading you off before you tried to lecture.
