Akamai is reportedly experiencing an ongoing DNS issue. There's many, many sites that are not functioning at present. Banks, travel, entertainment etc. Just thought I'd give you a heads up if you're experiencing problems.

Thought something was amis. Trying to book through Epedia and Trainline and won’t connect.
Has the internet had it’s jabs yet?

They need to unplug the DNS from the mains supply and plug it in again after two minutes that usually sorts the problem.

Failing that, unplug, remove battery. Shake liberally and then reset.

Back up and running ... managed to book a room in Premier Inn Woking at last for next week (son-in-law been pinged so cannot stay with them)

Akamai - which serves distributed web site content - had an outage. They plugged things back again and everything appears up and running.
