Kelly's Heroes for me, 1.21 of Clint Eastwood sat in a willy jeep with Telly Savalas and a German officer only for the camera to pan out and you then realise its a German military road block... que Burning bridges

Once Were Warriors
Initial shot is of idyllic NZ mountainous scenery at dawn or dusk - stupendous....... but camera slowly pans back to reveal this is just a billboard in a impoverished part of Auckland with a population which is predominantly comprised of displaced Maoris trying to make a go of it in the modern world.....
