I'm sat at home simply because I was concerned at the potential for large numbers turning up and there being chaos. Seems like that could be the case.

Maybe best to go to a cricket match before you go back on the Turf. Just enough of a crowd to get used to and ease yourself in talking to people but with big enough areas of space to go if you feel nervous.

When we were queuing up to go in a steward was saying that masks were necessary when moving around and when going to the toilet. Bit strange how very few were challenged but good on the steward who did if it was actually a condition of entry.

camping is something else I don't do - over several thousand years man has developed lots of building technology and things like plumbing, heating etc, because it improved the quality of life, I am always grateful for and respectful to those efforts.

Totally understand why and it’s obviously personal choice but in my view you need to learn to live with it now that the risks are significantly reduced otherwise there will be other consequences as you’ve alluded to.

Don't look at community transmission - it's now almost a red herring. Look at mortality rates - that's what counts. The overwhelming majority double vaccinated are very well protected. Even if they contract Covid the acuity of their illness is substantially reduced. I can tell you with confidence it's not one dimensional - there are enormous mental health, physical health, social and economic detrimental consequences of being ultra careful. In my view being ultra careful is foolish apart from in very exceptional circumstances.

I know a few double jabbed people who caught Covid at Wembley and have been pretty unwell. But on the plus side they would probably have had it a lot worse if they hadn't been jabbed.

Thankfully it won't be as chaotic and busy at the Turf as it was at Wembley

We may be entering a "new normal", and may never return fully to what we were used to.
