Is it at Turf Moor or Gawthorpe, did they say?

He said on the Turf - which is what I thought but surprised he announced it like that and surprised it's behind closed doors.

Lots of trialists for both sides, possibly.

Speculation on my part, but might be to trial new Premier League protocols (there are still doing lots of them in regards to Covid - they will have to change with a lot of fans, but you would want a run through without fans in the ground if you were a bit unsure

I would expect us to have zero trialists in a pre-season game so close to the season starting.

Apparently the club are trying to arrange another home game

I’m expecting two more games after Forest. The initial plan was two European clubs at home but it looks as though that has proved too difficult with the Newcastle game.

Is it not very unusual to play a team in your league in a friendly pre-season?

These are unusual times Leisure as proven by you not running a coach today 😉

This is what I thought and particularly a club that could be a relegation rival.

I cannot remember the last time Burnley did it, maybe the Isle of Man tournament?

Though for the "top 6", they fly off to Australia, China and America every summer to play each other.

Man United play Brentford at OT this week and also Everton before the season starts

Haven’t we done it a few times during the season behind closed doors?

Very, but as we get closer to the season and Football League clubs are out of the reckoning because their season is starting, the options are much reduced.

I believe we won 1-0 with Jay scoring, but I'm happy to be corrected if anybody knows different.
