Aidy Boothroyd’s replacement is Lee Carsley with Ashley Cole as assistant.

Cole is a strange one. Not massively convincing in his media roles, I haven’t seen much to suggest he’d make a coach. Who knows though, he may come alive on a training pitch.

Hope Carsley is more exciting and adventurous as a manager than he was as a player
