I haven't got one but it's smart looking.

Looks warm and a little water resistant but not waterproof.

Not much description on the website.

Either ring tge shop for a description or order one and send back if not suitable.
Or just wait until you're up for a game. Shouldn't need a coat for a couple of month yet.

Cheers pal
Think your right about only water resistant which won't be to much of a problem as sit in upper tier
For £45 though would expect a good quality jacket which it does look
Don't want to take my chances with club shop incase they've sold out of right size

You expect a good quality jacket for £45? I don’t think you’ve been able to get a decent jacket for that price since the late 80s

Same price as a home shirt isn't it?

Serious response - I wouldn't expect a coat for under £100 to be waterproof. Warm maybe but nothing better than a shower.

I would agree that a coat available for £45 probably won't be very durable.

I also couldn't bear a coat that requires being put on and off over my head, personally.

I’ve got a few like that and 1 in particular is a right ball ache to get off. You end up flashing your torso to everyone in the vicinity 🤣

Will be struggling to get a coat/jacket at £45 that’ll be great in all weathers. If you want a good coat and something Burnley, then you’d be better off just getting a good coat and a Burnley scarf or a Burnley pin badge for it.

I got a similar hunting smock to walk the dog in a while ago in a sale and it was more than double that price (and still on the cheaper end of decent waterproof gear etc..)

Cheers for the response
It's for my teenage lad
He just wants something smart/fashionable looking he can wear to the game probably should have stated that at the start
Just wondered if anyone had one and rated the overall quality of it

This thread reminds me of when someone asked for advice on a pair of reasonably priced walking boots to stroll up some hills, and people were recommending army surplus marching boots.

To be fair, I've re-read the post (the first time was with bleary eyes, having just woken up), and it does appear that he is thanking people in advance. Therefore, apologies from me.

You are shopping in the wrong places or going for the names, you should easily get a good goretex for under £100 it just won’t be a arcteryx or mountain equipment ect, I do a lot of walking & makes such as regatta & craghoppers do the job at a fraction.

There's not a chance a teenager will go to a football match in full waterproof gear.
He doesn't need goretex for a 5 minute walk from the car to the ground or even from the pub.

Correct, that's what I thought.
If that wasn't the case and he was thanking people in advance then my bad, I apologise.

I'm hardly a keyboard warrior though.

If you want something to just stick on for the game, then it fits the bill and will be sound.

Just not made for a game in January but it looks good and has a Burnley badge on so go for it.

For a teenage lad, if he wears it for 6/8 months it’ll be a bonus anyway.

I would imagine that jacket would be as waterproof as a paper hanky in a monsoon. Depends on what you need it for, if you have s short walk to the ground from where you park or whatever, most garments have some water resistance. If you have a longer walk, and jacket reaches its saturation point, your stuff underneath is going to get soaked. I have quite a long walk from where I park for ease of getting away after the game, so it's a FootJoy golf jacket for me!!

I was issued Meindl and Lowa in the RAF. Was much better than the old boots we had in the 80’s-90’s.

As for the jacket I’m sure it’d be fine for a teenager nipping out to the footy.

Army surplus boots and a Regatta jacket. Not sure that's what the OP had in mind for his teenage son :D
