Re: Where's Harry Kane
Suggestions this morning are that if Grealish signs it will end their interest in Kane for this summer… looks like Spurs may be going into the new season with a very unhappy top striker. Kane obviously feels he has to force the move ASAP, even at the expense of good will from the Spurs faithful. It could turn very nasty, and not the end to his Spurs career Kane envisaged I’m sure.

Re: Where's Harry Kane
Poor from Kane that. There doesn't appear to be any significant interest in him with City about to sign Grealish, so what club is he forcing a move through for exactly?

Whereas other reports are suggesting as soon as Grealish is tied up, Kane will be next.jedi_master wrote: ↑Mon Aug 02, 2021 11:10 amPoor from Kane that. Re: Where's Harry Kane
I think it’s unlikely he’d fail to turn up unless he’s been given assurances that City are willing to sign him.

Re: Where's Harry Kane
Kane needs to stop whinging and just get on with things.
He’s moaning about not being in a position to win things but seemingly fails to remember that he’s already had a good enough opportunity to have won silverware - the 2015/16 season when Spurs blew the league, the 2019 Champions League final when he didn’t show up and the Euro 2020 final when a good penalty in the shootout aside he was utterly crap.

Re: Where's Harry Kane
If this is a deliberate strategy by Kane, and his agent, then it's a risky one, you can only assume they've had assurances from City that a bid will be forthcoming, if not then he's going to look a fool.jedi_master wrote: ↑Mon Aug 02, 2021 11:10 amPoor from Kane that. Sadly this episode sums up modern football, and the players know they now have all the power.
Bad form from HK in my view, especially considering he's the England captain, not a good example to set to the younger generation.

Re: Where's Harry Kane
Two sides, guys. He says he signed the extended contract following assurances from Levy that if things didn’t improve he could leave. As expected Levy now shifting position. Horrible little man.

Re: Where's Harry Kane
Maybe he's overslept
Re: Where's Harry Kane
To be honest, if he’s been assured of something that hasn’t materialised, I don’t blame him. He’s 28 now and it’s totally obvious he won’t win a thing at that club. He rightly wants to win a few things to reflect his ability.
Football is a funny old game though. You’d never have the luxury of this sort of behaviour in the real world.

Re: Where's Harry Kane
He’s had the opportunity to do that with Spurs (and England) and blew it. No excuses.ksrclaret wrote: ↑Mon Aug 02, 2021 11:54 amTo be honest, if he’s been assured of something that hasn’t materialised, I don’t blame him. He’s supposed to be captain of club and country but behaves like a spoiled brat.

Don't forget the WC 2018 semi final where his greed blew the opportunity of a 2-0 lead and in all probability a WC final.BurnleyFC wrote: ↑Mon Aug 02, 2021 11:21 amKane needs to stop whinging and just get on with things.

Assured of what? A move? That needs another party to want to buy him. If a buyer doesn't materialise, he shouldn't be having a hissy fit at Spurs.ksrclaret wrote: ↑Mon Aug 02, 2021 11:54 amTo be honest, if he’s been assured of something that hasn’t materialised, I don’t blame him. If Kane has the gentleman’s agreement that he believes he has then he is well within his rights to go on strike. I take my hat off to anyone that wants to take Levy on

Surely the gentlemans agreement will only kick in once a team offers the amount the have agreed on. If this agreement exists then it will be along the lines on club A pays X amount and we will allow you to join.
If no club bids then what do Spurs do ? Hardly Levy or Spurs fault if City want him but then want to mess about to save a few quid.

If he’d turned up in both finals and was man of the match, he’d have a point.
As it happens, he was shite.

Re: Where's Harry Kane
Probably thought it was cup final day.
Re: Where's Harry Kane
If I was Levy I'd ask for £80m, Laporte and Bernardo Silva. I'd replace Kane with Lautaro Martinez and Vlahovic. Spurs would be challenging for the title with Romero, Laporte, Silva, Martinez and Vlahovic.
Re: Where's Harry Kane
I’m surprised that City seem to want to move Bernardo Silva on. He’s been brilliant for them.

Considering said agreement isn't binding he has no legal right to go on strike.Local cricketer wrote: ↑Mon Aug 02, 2021 12:21 pmIf Kane has the gentleman’s agreement that he believes he has then he is well within his rights to go on strike. I take my hat off to anyone that wants to take Levy on
Spurs are fully entitled to keep him for the length of his contract and he can do bugger all about it.

According to The Times, he's not due in until tomorrow. He's having a Covid test today.

Re: Where's Harry Kane
No way back if Levy has shook hands on an agreement and is now running from it, regardless of legal validity. Although I’m not sure Kane would sit out 3 years of his career if Levy plays hard ball, which he’s more likely to do than most..all very interesting

Re: Where's Harry Kane
Length of contract doesn't really bear any significance in football. What he should have done, or rather what his agent should have done, is insist on a release clause. I'm assuming that hasn't happened as it would make the whole thing a lot simpler.

Re: Where's Harry Kane
Was just about to post this.
The Times is the only outlet running with the COVID test theory. Most of the others are saying he’s AWOL with some usually reliable sources stating it’s nothing to do with him having a COVID test.

I’ve heard he’s stuck at home trying to solve a jigsaw puzzle. Someone needs to nip round and tell him it’s a box of Kellogg’s Cornflakes.

It wouldn't surprise me if hes gonna join Lots of other athletes / celebrities and people in the public eye citing M.Health Problems for his Absence. Adam Peaty in a tv interview has taken three months out to Protect his Health. Drinking and Partying?? Good on the Lad hes worked hard for it. Maybe that's the way forward for the public at Large instead of medication for what is a very Debilitating condition for most people.
