I have just seen on Twitter we are playing Newcastle today.
Has anyone heard anything will there be commentary etc…

Good luck with that one. They’ll probably put a message out 5 mins to kick off that it’s £37 to listen to the commentary.

Newcastle confirmed it via Steve Bruce last Saturday but we've said nothing other than Phil Bird mentioning it during the Oldham commentary and I mentioned it on here then.
On the Turf I believe.

Nobody has said otherwise.The fact that it is being played behind closed doors doesnt stop fans from being interested in the game.

I thought I had read that about this game a couple of weeks ago and there was a discussion about potentially having an opportunity to test their match day protocols without fans there so when we play Cadiz at the weekend they can test them with a crowd there too?

Don't know about that. I knew a while ago it was a possibility if we couldn't get another European team here but it was only confirmed during the Oldham game. Nothing said since until Steve Bruce mentioned it at the weekend.

Chelsea, Spurs and Arsenal are all playing each other pre-season.
Chelsea have already won at Emirates 2-1.

Quite a few doing it this year because of the restrictions of teams coming into the country. We had another game lined up against a Premier League team for the weekend in case we couldn't get another game.

If a game is being played behind closed doors then it doesn’t matter whether there are trialists. Bruce confirmed the game.

From a couple of pictures I’ve seen, Collins is playing as is Bardsley and Cork.
Presume it kicked off at 1pm.
