I'm hoping they are going to add the word MOOR to that.

Seen other pics further down the street in black, makes the area look even duller with the constant grey skies and tarmac. It'll look a right miserable road once Winter kicks in!

New digital signage...stood a few minutes here to see if Saturdays match v Brighton was advertised and the kick-off time. I didn't see it.

“To Turf” is what Dyche usually says when he gets our lingo all wrong. He’s obviously painted that himself after Mr Pace sacked the painter to save the club a sixpence.

It may seem petty but ‘Welcome to Turf’ really annoys me!
Dropping the Moor started with Howe and seems to have stuck
Welcome to Turf Moor or even Welcome to the Turf would be ok

I guess what would be nice is if the council could replace the road tarmac & fresh paint lines, and get a nice new pavement done. It doesn't look any different to when I was a kid in the 90's! Just looks scruffy

Re: New Turf Moor Colour Scheme
Surely...SURELY the 'Moor' is still to come? If not then I think we need to do a whip-round to get the local bus shelter vandals to graffiti a 'Moor' on for us in the next few days.
Can we just also comment as well on how ridiculously depressing all that black is? What has black got to do with Burnley, Turf Moor or anything else? Who looked at the shabby state of that side of the ground/CF car park and said "The only answer here is to remove all of the player pictures and paint the lot in black". It might seem petty and it might seem a non-issue thing to moan about by some but I find what has been done on the approach there to be absolutely rotten. It looks cheap, weird and is not befitting of our club.
The digital sign also looks odd, surely it should have some sort of surround or housing? It just looks like a random billboard with nothing to do with Burnley FC due to them removing the Claret hoardings that surrounded the old 'Next Opponents' sign.
Perplexing, just like almost everything to do with the club at the moment.

Why would it be?
They're advertising local businesses there, if people aren't aware the season is starting and when the games are then they're living under a rock.

Re: New Turf Moor Colour Scheme
I'm sure you whinge & whine about things that in the grand scheme of things aren't important, it's called having an opinion, a taste, a like, a dislike. If that can't be expressed on here without attacks from people offering nothing to the discussion, i.e. you, then we really do have a problem.ClaretInLeeds wrote: ↑Wed Aug 11, 2021 3:07 pmThis thread is proof that people will whinge and whine at anything….
Re: New Turf Moor Colour Scheme
Isn't there more new jazzy digital signage going all along the (now black) wall along Harry Potts Way? Pretty sure I saw that earlier this year somewhere. Or will this lead to more power cuts?

Re: New Turf Moor Colour Scheme
Perhaps Mr Pace wants us to bring some chalk with us to the game to write some good luck messages for the season ahead?
Re: New Turf Moor Colour Scheme
“You can’t polish a turd” …But somehow they’ve managed to make the Turf look more of a mess than it already was, quite an achievement in itself really.
Black paint everywhere, odd colours for the turnstiles and exits doors. “WELCOME TO TURF”, doesn’t even make sense.
The LED boards that were supposed to be on the outside of all the stands are non existent, same for the ones proposed for the middle of the tiers and top of the Bob Lord stand. The new curved big screen hasn’t been added and neither has the 2nd screen that’s been in the works for 3 seasons now.

Re: New Turf Moor Colour Scheme
Im guessing there is a max permitted size of the overall sign, which a frame would count as part, and so they have gone for a frameless option to maximize ad spacejedi_master wrote: ↑Wed Aug 11, 2021 3:07 pmSurely...SURELY the 'Moor' is still to come? I personally think it all looks smart and as already said, it will say ‘Welcome to Turf Moor’ as it isn’t yet finished.

I don’t think we really need a sign telling people when the next game is in 2021.

Already mentioned on another thread, I drive past the board regularly and find the next game information pretty important. I don't live under a rockGodIsADeeJay81 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 11, 2021 3:08 pmWhy would it be?
They're advertising local businesses there, if people aren't aware the season is starting and when the games are then they're living under a rock.
Also from a marketing perspective I would want said information to be there because a viewer may get used to the sequence of adverts but the 'next game is' is relevant/currrent/topical and increases the chances a person will look at the screen.

I think it looks smart and far removed from the run down, weather beaten look of Turf Moor that we have become accustomed too.Burnley1989 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 11, 2021 3:24 pmIt’s been making me laugh since the take over it’s a painted bloody wall, who gives a monkeys
Once the new signage is in place, both inside and outside the stadium, I think it will look really good.
Some people just don’t like change.
