I like to moan about the buses....got on a whizz colne to Kelbrook last night. £1.........

I love a bargain!

Got an email this morning regarding this and expected it to be 1 train a day but got both Arsenal & Norwich games for £2 return instead of the £15 each game

Thanks for that. My mother goes to Blackpool every Wednesday and this will save her a small fortune!

I'm glad you mentioned this route.

I've just booked to take the parents from Bingley to Carlisle on the route for a day out.

4 quid each way with a saving of 220 quid.

That might just be their birthday and xmas presents rolled into one.

Some great savings there guys.

You can get to Leeds for a pound each way if you're going to Leicester away that way.

I'm glad you saved money but it should cost you £6 for 3 people return.
Book as separate single journey's and it's a pound each way per person.

Thanks. There were some £1 tickets available but not at the time we wanted to travel up. The return journey is £3. Still a bargain

Doing those ones myself from Knobendland

Just booked train tickets for the Norwich game on 2 Oct. Arlesey(my nearest station) to Burnley was nearly £100, change at Peterborough and Leeds. A bit of playing around and I managed to get Stevenage to Leeds for £20 return and then Leeds to Burnley £12 return, £32 in total. Result.

I don't think it would have worked on this one as Stevenage is 2 stations (but only 10 minutes) in the opposite direction, but the benefit is it makes the Leeds leg direct. Just checked and the best they can do is £46.30 with 5 changes and a 5 hour journey. My one is 2 changes (including me getting to Stevenage) and a 3 hour journey.

Cheers. Just bought three carriages and an engine. Even though it's a steamer and had just finished the Blackpool to York run, it still seems in decent nick.
