RIP Charlie. What a drummer. Only recently announced he would be giving up his seat for the upcoming tour but temporarily. Sad news.

Oh Bloody Hell. That's terrible news.

I won't even start talking about "legends" but just say a man who played a huge, huge role in Rock history.

Thoughts with his family and with the Stones.

Sad news, but alas not totally unexpected given his recent health issues, TBH it's a shock that the Stones have lived as long as they have with their hedonistic lifestyle.

RIP Charlie

Not unexpected I guess given recent news but sad all the same.

If I had a chance to come back for a second go at life I reckon I could do worse than be Charlie Watts. R.I.P Charlie

That news hit me hard. Been a long while between Stones demises. My favourite band and Charlie was lauded as one of the great rock drummers, thanks to his jazz upbringing

Such sad news, member of one of the greatest bands ever but he leaves us with so many memories and so much wonderful music.

It's only Rock 'n Roll Charlie but I like it.

Terribly sad news. RIP Charlie.

Lucky enough to have seen the Stones three times. Fair to say that despite my Grandad telling my dad many decades ago that “They’ll never last…”, that they very much did!

Sad news, it's all over now.
RIP Charlie.
Not one of the flash drummers with 10 minute solos, but one who kept perfect time.

Any drummer doing 10 minute solos should be marched out and shot, metaphorically speaking, of course.

This will be a 'where were you when....' day for me. Sat in the sunshine in my neighbour's garden, drinking a few beers with Sticky Fingers playing in the background.....sad loss.....the heartbeat of the greatest rock n' roll band ever...."Drums beating, cold English blood runs hot" (The Glimmer Twins). "I don't know what showbiz is and I've never watched MTV. There are people who just play instruments, and I'm pleased to know that I'm one of them." (Charlie Watts 1991 taken from BBC website) Says it all. Bye Charlie and thank you.

Sad loss.
Saw a brief obituary on tv last night. It mentioned his drug problem and how he realised it was getting out of hand when Keith Richards gave him a stern talking to 😂😂
