Does Bacup have a massive claret fanbase?

Every time we used to be on tv, the around the town cameras would do an interview with people who looked like they belonged on something like wrong turn or the hills have eyes. I was absolutely positive they were picking these people out on purpose for a dig at Burnley people.
However today whilst admittedly watching on sky, every time the ball went into the crowd, it was the same images coming back. Ref hills have eyes, wrong turn, deliverance etc. Now the ball going out is completely random and could not have been planned at all. It lead me to thinking, do Bacup have a massive claret fan club?

I seriously think they scour the crowds and pan to the funniest looking person they see

Are you sure it wasn't the Leeds contingent being filmed and interviewed (who had blagged tickets in the JMU /NSU) ... a few on our Row definitely looked like extra's from Deliverance
and hadn't a clue where they were going

In answer to your original question…. Yes Bacup is mainly claret. As for the inbred insinuation it is not in the slightest funny or original.

It would be interesting to know where the OP lives? I note he said he watched it on Sky. Perhaps he lives too far away or was busy grooming himself prior to watching it on tv to preserve his membership of the Aryan race? Either way, he wasn’t at the Turf for the cameras to pan onto his perfect form. Part time or no time supporter and a D1ck.

Well if he was watching the match on Sky in Burnley, I would disregard anything he has to say…….he should have been on the match.

Leave Bacup alone, its a good Lancashire town. Its our supporters from Todmorden, a Yorkshire town, that we should be most concerned about due to the fact that it recognized as the incest capital of the UK. From a report in Yorkshire Examiner 2016. Always said there's something about Yorkshire folk.
