Padiham v Barnoldswick Town
Do Padiham still offer reduced admission prices for Burnley season ticket holders?
I've tried to look on Padiham website but nothing not even today's fixture listed.
TIA

I'm not sure if they still do.
Just take your ST card with you if you're going anyway.
It's either £6 or £3.

Might have a look on myself today. Barlick have made a decent start to the season and scoring plenty of goals.

It is half price for ST holders of Premier league clubs.
If you do take up this offer, make sure you buy a pie n peas and a pint as a thank you.

Game finished nil nil.
Newcastle United's assistant manager, Graeme Jones son plays for Padiham if you want a little trivia.

It should say any league clubs but I don't want to attract any of them Rovers down. So I don't mention that.
It wouldn't surprise me if a Brighton fan had been there. They get all sorts in.
Crowd was 440. Decent effort

Who won?
I watched Barlick play the new Macc on Saturday which was a really entertaining game.

Re: Padiham v Barnoldswick Town
Macclesfield were interesting. Looked like they had a lot of young lads. Presumably ex academy types who didn't make it. Bullied by Barlick for 20 minutes but then worked it out. 2 or 3 of them clearly above that level but how they will go on on muddy pitches is not clear.
Re: Padiham v Barnoldswick Town
If you think that Burnley play hoof ball then you should have been at the Arbories today to see a perfect example of the genre.
At least the Reedley Hallows Pendleside in the clubhouse was palatable.
The match inevitably ended 0-0.

Hoofball is underrated thickneck. Tippy tappy is very dull.

Yeah. Padiham put up pictures of him with the chairman on twitter after signing the memorial 'Can bar'.Burnley1989 wrote: ↑Tue Aug 31, 2021 9:47 amWas he there yesterday, if so I'm sure I saw him walk on about 3:10 with his partner, I knew I'd seen him somewhere before, just googled him and I'm pretty sure it was actually.
Jay Rod signed it about 6 weeks ago.

Re: Padiham v Barnoldswick Town
It wasn't the greatest of games that's for sure but we (Barlick) were 4 or 5 starters missing and, what I've read, Padiham were too. I was happy with a point, Padiham looked the better side first half and we probably edged the second. My first visit to Padiham - decent set up and warm welcome so cheers for having us guys.
I'm not sure where you've read we are being well financially backed QTT It's funny how information travels around the non league grapevine. We were talking to Savage at our recent visit to Longridge and he was trying to quash rumours that some of the Macclesfield players were on £600 per week! They will be earning pretty decent with the crowds they are getting, I'm sure.
I think Macclesfield and Congleton will be in trouble with the league after yesterday though - video of crowd trouble going round on Twitter so we'll see what happens there.

A crowd of over 3500 turned up which is excellent, rumour has it that this included a number of Port Vale who fancied a bit of troubleGoodclaret wrote: ↑Tue Aug 31, 2021 10:26 amIt wasn't the greatest of games that's for sure but we (Barlick) were 4 or 5 starters missing and, what I've read, Padiham were too. I noticed Zach Dale wandering around the ground, he will be a big miss for you, one of the best I’ve seen in the NWCFL over the last 4-5 years? Is he injured?Goodclaret wrote: ↑Tue Aug 31, 2021 10:26 amIt wasn't the greatest of games that's for sure but we (Barlick) were 4 or 5 starters missing and, what I've read, Padiham were too. Yeah, that could well be the case. I think they will have to pay for policing moving forward to make sure no repeat of yesterday which is a shame but, as we know, there's always a few who can cause some issues.claretonthecoast1882 wrote: ↑Tue Aug 31, 2021 10:28 amA crowd of over 3500 turned up which is excellent, rumour has it that this included a number of Port Vale who fancied a bit of trouble

Zach got injured in the Macclesfield game - not sure how long he'll be out but, as you say, he is a huge miss. I believed it quite easily as the cricket club next door are very well funded and assumed same backers?
I haven't been over to Barlick for a few years but didn't the water board have to dig up some of the land for pipes and compensation was given?
Re: Padiham v Barnoldswick Town
Must admit I was pretty shocked when I heard most of Colne's team were on about 100 quid a week a few years back.
Unless somebody is bankrolling the club not sure how it's possible really getting crowds of about 300, most of whom will have bought cheap season tickets.

Re: Padiham v Barnoldswick Town
Having watched the teams you’ve have mentioned over the recent years if anybody is collecting that sort of money from their clubs the clubs must be absolutely barmy paying that amount out sounds like players will move clubs for an extra £5 or £10 don’t know about local clubs thriving sound like the local football prostitutes are utc

They are in the division above Padiham & Barnoldswick now though.

Lots of neutrals there too. Helps when there’s no games on the tv for people to stop at home/ watch down the pub.

Padiham aren’t far off being a good side, it’s just hard to keep a team at that level

Northern Pub Quiz Question Number 2
If Padiham beat Barnoldswick Town by over 2-0 or they beat Padiham by over 2-0 who wins the C*ntlick Trophy?

Padiham are having a day off from the pressure and have gone to Blackpool Pleasure Beach en masse to look in the bendy mirrors to look and feel normal for once.

Of course John Cooper Clark never went to Padiham... It's a place where they look the wrong way through binoculars to check what airline the planes are.

I wish Zack all the best at Padiham. He's been a fantastic player for us but can understand him wanting more game time.
