Points in our next 4 games
So between now and the next international break we face.
Everton (a)
Arsenal (H)
Leicester (a)
Norwich (H)
How many points if any can we rack up from those matches. I'll predict the following.
Everton 1
Arsenal 1
Leicester 0
Norwich 3
I'd be reasonably content with that return, as that would keep us on roughly a point a match, which should be more than enough to ensure survival.

The one thing about dyche is that when it comes crunch time he somehow gets a team together and gets points.

Re: Points in our next 4 games
We will probably do things the Burnley way and draw at Everton, win at Leicester and lose to Norwich and Arsenal.
Lets hope we're up for the 'easier' games as much as we are for the harder.

If we can't beat Arsenal and Norwich then we're in trouble.

Re: Points in our next 4 games
Yes I'd agree with that, we really need to be picking up min of 4 points in those 2 fixtures.SalisburyClaret wrote: ↑Sun Sep 12, 2021 11:25 amIf we can't beat Arsenal and Norwich then we're in trouble.
Anything we get at Everton & Leicester would have to be considered bonus points, now that's not to say we won't pick up results in those games, but our bread and butter fixtures have to be the home games against the teams around us, that's where you'd expect us to amass the majority of our points.

In the 8 Home matches against the teams that finished 12th and lower last season Burnley Won 3, Lost 2 and had 3 Draws meaning that we amassed 12 points out of a possible 24 from these so-called "bread and butter" fixtures.
Big improvement needed in that area this season and maybe the return of crowds will help.

Really looking forward to the overdue home win v Arsenal to get Arteta the sack and send their fans into social media meltdown

Re: Points in our next 4 games
Leicester will be difficult, Arsenal will depend on them, but i suspect (sadly) that their glitch is over, I quite fancy us for a point at least on Monday and Norwich - like Brighton - is the sort of game that we need three points from to stay up; so three points is the minimum, I'd be OK with four, happy with five, overjoyed with six and ecstatic with anything above that. How about all twelve and then we can all rest easy until for a month or sor?
