Lancashire have raced to 102 for 2 after 21 overs, after being inserted by their hosts. Despite a very green wicket they are finding it easy to score.

Games at Somerset are usually done inside three days. Can’t see this bring any different. Really hope we out in a good show. We’ve been so disappointing in all three format, since Steven Croft literally chucked us out of the one day cup five weeks ago against Essex!

Davies failed again I see, well when I say failed he did score a mighty 3 runs for the cause, why are we even playing him when he's going out the door in a couple of weeks.

50 for Wells, and he and Bohannon are putting on a good stand for the 3rd wicket, already worth 81.

Jack Blatherwick caught my eye, right arm seamer who Lancs signed from Notts this season, he's played for England under 19's so he must have something about him.

In 2 hours, 31 overs were bowled and 127 runs scored. Puts Test match cricket to shame.

200-4, a couple of quick wickets, Wells going after reaching his 100, and Bohannon after reaching his 50.

Scoring rate is still good from Lancs though.

364/8, Croft now finally out for 71, after his earlier reprieve.

50 for Bailey.

Yorkshire 108 all out in their low scoring contest against Warwickshire at Headingley, the visitors lead by 47, which in the context of this game is a lot.

Tom Bailey strikes 2nd ball, Som 0-1, and Bailey is a one man band ATM.

Young chap by the name of Cook has just passed his 150 for Essex.

He might have a decent career that lad. :)

38 for 4 now.

Umpire Graham Lloyd has given two stone dead LBWs not out against their danger man Azhar Ali as well.

Not a bad morning's work for Lancs, Somerset already 4 down, and they've only just passed 50.

2 wickets for Bailey and Balderson, great chance here to close the gap on the leading sides prior to the final round of CC matches.

Luckily they didn't hang around too much as It let our bowlers get at them.

Somerset will follow on.

Lancs could have had 18 wickets already with drop catches and turned down LBWs.

Finding it harder 2nd innings, as often happens, still in a great position to force a victory in this game.

Good to see the wickets shared around, 4 for Blatherwick, 3 for Bailey, 2 for Balderson and a solitary scalp for Lamb.

Not sure what's happened 2nd dig, Somerset have raced to 40-0 in just 7 overs.

Only 243 more to make Lancs bat again.

Plenty of runs to score on this pitch if you play your shots. That's how Lancs got so many, always looking to attack.

Somerset have come out playing shots rather than just get bowled at.

Those 3 late wickets have made it a great day for Lancs, extraordinary figures for Wells, 3-8 in 7 overs, when the other bowlers are all going at more than 4 an over.

Not guaranteed the win yet, but a couple of quick wickets in the morning will put us on the brink.

Bailey again. 253/6, and Lancs closing in on a good win.

Balderson & Blatherwick pitch in, 287-8, and a lead of merely 4, so this might all be over before lunch.

Does anyone understand the league table on BBc website

I know we carry forward the points v Yorks from earlier in the season but why do Lancs have 0.5 wins?

Only carry half the points forward from the Yorkshire games so only considered half a win I think

Now I get it thanks. We played Yorks Twice, a win and a draw so the average is half a win and half a draw

Table looks great right now

If Notts fail to beat Hampshire then most teams will be in with a good chance of taking the title. Could be a grandstand finish to the season. Come on Hampshire

Ideally Hampshire and Warwickshire win their games this week then we beat Hampshire next week and better warks bonus points and we'll finish top by my calculations

Notts 80-3 chasing 250, so that one could be tight.

80-4 Notts, doesn't look like they're going to pull off a victory, keeps many teams still in the hunt in the final round of matches.

Agreed. Should be four teams in the hunt and a win for Lancashire gives us a great chance and I think would guarantee an appearance in the Bob Willis trophy final

Shame that Lancashire have cocked it up again and decided not to put up temporary stands at Liverpool next week.

A club with zero consideration for its members/supporters

Really ..... I would challenge you on that statement.
You may or may not know I am the Chairman of the Members Representative Group ( MRG) at Lancashire Cricket.

The MRG has been in place for almost 8 years although I’m only coming into my fourth year of being Chairman. In that time
over 25 members have served on the MRG as volunteers
working closely with the Board/ Executive Management Team at Lancs on a daily basis.

From what I read on this message board you are a very knowledgable cricket fan - not sure if you are a member at Lancs?

If you are please contact me off line and I will happily take you through the work we do with the club that DO have the members / supporters wishes at heart.

I have engaged with ChrisG at the cricket who
Posts on here on a regular basis too regarding cricket and I have met him at the ground this season.

I genuinely want to enlighten you if you are a member and if you aren’t I think your comment above is very misplaced as it’s made with no substance whatsoever.

 Ballance out 3rd ball of the morning for Yorkshire,55-4 chasing 224 for victory against Warwickshire.

Winners in that match will be bang in the title frame, losers will be seeing their season ended.

Yorkshire already getting the excuses in early I see.

Moaning about Bairstow and Root being unavailable, while Woakes is playing for Warwickshire.

Lancashire were deprived of Anderson & Buttler for our win at Somerset, but we coped admirably.

Duke hits a couple of boundaries, then gets out for 8, 95-7 and this 129 more to win seems a pipedream.
