I was at Blakenhall v boston united in the fa cup that day, thankfully.

Peter heritage I met a few times when he later played for stamco. He's been coaching around my area for a while now having played for little common and Sidley. How did we concede a goal to a Sidley player? 10 divisions below us now.

These reports from the dark days do put results such as last night into true perspective, I seem to recall Hereford being one of tougher opponents during those awful Division 4 days, and it wasn't just the 6-0 humbling, although naturally that sticks in your memory.

If his username is any indication, I don't think he was born.

Drove there and back, so I didn't even have alcohol to numb the pain.

Sadly I was at Hereford but the sending off killed is that day. I’ve spoken to John Francis since about it and he confirmed that he’d done nothing to warrant the red card.

I think that I did a 0-0 there a couple of years before but can't remember an awful lot about it. I remember where we were in the ground and a cake shop in town, but absolutely nothing about the game. Probably because nothing memorable happened.

:D

These articles should be compulsory reading for some folk on here. They might start to appreciate how blessed we are to be where we are now.

Due to a family wedding this was the 1 away game I missed this season. Was a good one to miss.

I went in a minibus and someone in it got arrested so we had hours to wait after the game, it was a truly dreadful day.

My one and only visit to Hereford was in 1988, with my 2 younger brothers and 2 of their school friends. I parked near the ground only to be asked to move my car to the Cattle Market carpark by the Police. Great advice as after the game(lost despite going in front to a rare Ray Deakin goal) my car was attacked as we got in to it. Both back doors were kicked in and my brother was chased around the car park as he couldn't get the back passenger door open. I got the car started and tried to run over a couple of the lads chasing my brother. Eventually the police arrived and arrested a couple of them and a bloke rescued my brother (i think he was 15 at the time). I had to go to the station to give a statement and i asked if the bloke who helped my brother had given a statement, but i was told no as he was from the base and you will get nothing out of him. I was a bit unclear what he meant, until he pointed out that the SAS were based in Hereford and the bloke who came to the rescue of my brother was indeed an SAS soldier.
