About time, I never doubted he would sign, but to have it put to bed is a fillip.

This is great news, and the reaction from the anti-Dyche crowd will be even more hilarious to witness.
Clearly Dyche and Pace have a much healthier working relationship than Dyche and Garlick did in the latter's final year in charge.
Now of course it's up to SD to prove why he's been given this backing, both in the market, and with a new deal.

The very best news we could hope to see all summer. Massive, and undoubtedly as a result of the change of ownership? If Pace has Dyche’s seal of approval then that’s good enough for me.

Good! With any luck this should give us a boost for Saturday. This could be his trickiest season, as all the uncertainty over the club’s future leading up to the takeover has put our rebuilding behind schedule and we have to find a way of surviving this year with a significant number of players in the squad now beyond their peak.

Good news. Even if we get relegated he's earned the right to more or less decide when his time is up. Toughest moment yet in his Burnley career, no doubt one of the best managers in our history but I hope he comes through it.

I don't he's a narcissistic **** who believes his own hypez is vastly rewarded for mainly failing and is sucking this club dry whilst ******* away it's resources and dragging it down
The sooner he ***** off, the better.

This sums it up for me. We’ve had a rocky start to the season and there’s a lot of work to be done to ensure that we retain our premier league status for another year.
Assuming we achieve that, I’m hopeful the we now have a bit of a longer term strategy that will see progression on the pitch as much as off it.
Dyche has his critics, some of it justified (some just ridiculous) but I can’t think of anyone else I’d rather have steering the ship for the foreseeable.

4 tonnes of gravel were dropped outside the Barnfield kitchens yesterday. I knew something good was imminent. He’s stocked up for four more years and I’m thrilled to bits!

I’m fed up of the football being served and the baffling decisions however, now is the time for him to evolve over the course of this contract and he has more than earned that right to do so. Not after a complete overhaul to a free flowing attacking game, just a plan b and a bit more flexibility and less predictability will do nicely. He has a good board behind him now who believe in him (despite others slagging them off) so there are no more excuses.

Gravel and tanks!

First we seize Padiham, then lay waste to Bl*ckburn (nobody will notice).

I see the word evolution used a few times and it sums it up well for me, I feel we have become established and now need to go that extra bit to evolve past what we are and move further up the table regularly. The transfers show promise and the change/evolution to achieve that, which I believe was critical for SD, the new owners have made the right noise and put the money where there mouth is, which again was a critical step, so nothing but good news here for me.
Yes I know we finished 17th last season but with a healthy margin between ourselves and 18th and for me relegation was never a doubt, again we've made a poor start and the number of goals given away from winning positions is a worry but one I'm sure will be addressed, and just to avoid any doubt, I don't think we will be going down this season either.

Just seen his interview on ssn, it looks like he has a positive and forward thinking relationship with Alan Pace a the new board, which can only be good for th club. I feel that survival in the PL this year is more important than ever, which will give our manager and board time to put their long term plans into action.

He’s not perfect but who is, he is Mr Burnley Football Club, he’s the boss, if we lost him we would fall to bits he built this club to make it what it is today and this news is brilliant, he runs every aspect of the club. The players play for him.
I’m so glad we aren’t one of those teams who has 5 managers in 4 years etc.
He has a tough task now of keeping us in the league which I think will be the hardest survival yet.
This should give the the whole club and fans a boost for Saturday. Lets show out gaffer we are fully behind him and beat these southern pansies.
SEAN DYCHE’S CLARET & BLUE ARMY !! (Congrats on the new contract gaffer ££££££££)
