Just had a look and we've been drawn against them 3 times in the cup recently: 2018, 2019 and 2020. What are the odds of that happening, prior to the first of the 3 games?

FA Cup 3rd round (64 teams - 63 possible opponents)
Fa Cup 4th round (32 teams - 31 possible opponents)
League Cup 4th round (16 teams - 15 possible opponents)

Stoke or Preston at home please!

It’s looking like 12 Premier League clubs, 3 from the Championship and Sunlan from League One.

Depends what you mean. If you mean upon the assumption that both sides were in those specific rounds in the first place then 1 in 63x31x15.
However, if you are accounting for other matters such as:-
Does it matter which round
Does it have to be that specific competition or would either do
Then it gets tougher. It gets too subjective if you account for Burnley reserves getting through fa cup round 3 in the first place.

The probability of drawing them as often as we have is very low whatever the criteria. Of course, notwithstanding what has happened before, the odds that we get them again in this round 4 is still 1 in 15, so not unexpected.

My thoughts when I saw it ! Jay comes full circle. Winnable

Spurs struggling a little at the moment......you never know.

Could have been a lot worse. Hopefully it will be sensibly priced again.

I said last night to the other half that when Jay scores in this cup it means Capital Punishment is on the way.

A win against Spurs and to paraphrase Birdy it will be…….justice.

The blip to my enthusiasm is that it is sandwiched between Southampton away and Brentford at home so I just cannot see Dyche taking it too seriously. Reserves won’t be enough against Spurs.

With QPR drawing Sunderland at least 1 EFL team guaranteed to be in the next round of the League Cup.

Once upon a time that would have been an exciting draw.

Brilliant highlights of us - not. I fast-forwarded through 50 minutes of the 60 to see us on for a few seconds, even though a player had scored 4 goals in a game. Pathetic.

Just use the club's website for highlights. Goals are usually up sharpish and full highlights the day after.
