Can only hope it’s a pull and not a tear, either way, won’t see him for a month+ you’d think.
What a shame, he was really making his mark.

Never easy being a Burnley supporter.
What have we done to deserve such ****?
Gutted for Cornet. Doubly cruel to see it happen after that superb 45 mins first half and Rochdale. "Look at what we could have won..."

Re: Leicester City v Burnley - match thread
Dirty, dirty Burnley! No fouls in the 1st half (according to my stats).

We need to tighten up at the back. Lowton made 2 or 3 great stops.

Good team selection, great performance and an entertaining first half. We really need to convert into 3pts today and take some pressure off us going into an easier run of fixtures

Re: Leicester City v Burnley - match thread
Great 1st half, apart from Vardy's equaliser, and Cornet going off, touch wood it's nothing major.
Now we have to ensure his stunner earns us all 3 points, it deserves too, but Leicester will still be dangerous after the break.

Re: Leicester City v Burnley - match thread
Was not hurt enough not to remember to walk back onto the pitch for treatment. Brilliant to see Leicester lose it as a result, great windup.
Hope he bounces back quickly, he has shown enough already to suggest he is exactly what we have been looking for.

As it stands we are still third bottom even if we win. We must win this one. Come on Burnley.
Re: Leicester City v Burnley - match thread
We need Dwight to have a good second half now. Lowton's been excellent so far.

I think we can rule out a tear (several months), but taking into account our luck, we can also rule out a few days. So you're probably right, 3 to 4 weeks.Buxtonclaret wrote: ↑Sat Sep 25, 2021 3:53 pmHe pulled up pretty soon running onto a crossfire ball.
You never know. Could be a few weeks.

The only positive is we have Norwich and Man City in our next 2, then it's the international break, so hopefully he might not miss that many matches.Buxtonclaret wrote: ↑Sat Sep 25, 2021 3:53 pmHe pulled up pretty soon running onto a crossfire ball.

Shame though minutes after opening his account in brilliant fashion, sums up the highs and lows of footy.

LiveScore saying Cornet got booked for time wasting for being injured? Is this true? How can you book someone for being injured?

Re: Leicester City v Burnley - match thread
Honestly, I’ll take the international break after Norwich, who we can beat without him. And City away after that so won’t need him.
Even if it’s minor, we should take our time.

Re: Leicester City v Burnley - match thread
He's allowed to, he's their captain. Can't really blame him, as Cornet was off the pitch and came back on to get treatment.
We'd be spitting feathers if an opposition player did that.
As for Cornet's injury, he walked all round the pitch, so hopefully the injury isn't too bad.
What a crackin' full PL debut goal though!

Re: Leicester City v Burnley - match thread
Dirty Burnley 0 Fouls in the first half
Leicester 5 fouls
Leicester 5 fouls
Re: Leicester City v Burnley - match thread
Just common sense. Why would he start if he'd not played any minutes vs Rochdale? He'd have obviously been sub.

Dyche now needs to be proactive. 3-5-2 or 4-5-1. Fill the midfield. It won't happen !!

Re: Leicester City v Burnley - match thread
Ideally yes, but they're losing again today, and they've been dire all season, so even without Max we should have enough to beat them.
Win today and suddenly we'll go into the Norwich game on a huge high, let's just take care of today first, then we can worry about Norwich.
