I didn’t think he was great or awful but the real incompetence was the dreadful linesman. If we were marking the linesman it would be a different picture altogether.

Is it that VAR can’t become involved in situations like this which seems wrong especially when it leads to a goal.

Different phase of play so can’t be looked at by VAR. But if that free kick is given they don’t get that goal.
