3rd shirt stock
I’ve just been to the club shop to buy the third shirt to be told they’ve sold out of my size(m). I asked when they would be getting new stock and was told they wouldn’t be getting anymore of that shirt in and once they’re sold that’s it.
I find it incredible that they aren’t looking to replace stock of a popular item that’s selling well.

Re: 3rd shirt stock
Only sizes left are small and 4XL and upwards.
Either sold way beyond expectation (unlikely) or not enough ordered.

The club shop is really awful. I live in Bournemouth so can't get down there, but want to buy some stuff for my grandson who lives in the Rhondda. I sent an email to the shop weeks ago and haven't had a reply, so I wrote to the SLO asking for any help they could give. Guess what? Nothing, not even an acknowledgement.

The club were advertising for a SLO last week so maybe the previous one is no longer working for them.Paulclaret wrote: ↑Thu Sep 30, 2021 3:48 pmThe club shop is really awful. If that's the case, surely someone should at least be monitoring their mail, even if it's only to send an acknowledgement.Claret Till I Die wrote: ↑Thu Sep 30, 2021 3:54 pmThe club were advertising for a SLO last week so maybe the previous one is no longer working for them.

Re: 3rd shirt stock
I hope they get some more 3rd kits in at some point. I really wanted to buy one of those. I presume they didn’t order many because the 3rd kit is normally the least popular kit, and this year it is probably the most popular.

Re: 3rd shirt stock
The club probably see no prospect of getting more shirts before Christmas and therefore will miss the largest opportunity for future sales… and so not restocking. It will cost Burnley and the charity big and I’m sure the higher ups are far from impressed.

Totally amateurish and I hope Pace etc. are looking at this.

Re: 3rd shirt stock
Maybe the club got caught out ordering too many shirts that never sold, during the pandemic when supporters didn't go to the ground?
They were certainly advertising them all over town.
Or maybe lots of supporters had refund money on their teamcard they needed to use and more have been sold?

I suspect there may be a minimum amount they have to order given that stock won’t just be lying around in a warehouse and will have to be manufactured.

Same old story, you snooze, you lose. All sizes were available online from the clubshop. I'm sure they'll reorder if demand is high enough.
Re: 3rd shirt stock
All the sizes left are the unpopular ones as others have said if demand is high enough then they may order them in ....

Re: 3rd shirt stock
I saw the shirt featured on here about three weeks ago and on the club website, liked it, assumed the Large would be too tight like the white one and ordered the XL. It arrived within three days. If you like something, don't arse about with emails, just buy the darn thing.

The first place I looked. I was looking for tracksuits but couldn’t see what I wanted online and yet my brother had been in and sent me a photo of something that looked good. I just wanted to check out whether they had the right size for him and whether I could order it but no luck

The SLO was fired recently but the marketing manager is supposed to be dealing with things. Seems that's not happened.Paulclaret wrote: ↑Thu Sep 30, 2021 3:48 pmThe club shop is really awful. Re: 3rd shirt stock
What had the SLO done to be sacked?
Re: 3rd shirt stock
Perhaps a seamstress (or seamster?) Should be employed and sit in the shop waiting.
We have a 4xl that can be made into a medium in 20 mins!

Re: 3rd shirt stock
It's usually rather difficult nowadays to sack someone just for being poor at their jobs, normally there is something else behind it.... Or perhaps being fired was the wrong term to use unless the facts have been made public?.

Someone must be looking at the message board.
Club just announced that the 3rd kit is selling fast and is becoming one of the most popular shirts ever.
And added: "Fans are urged to snap up the third kit while they can as no further stock will be coming into store."

They should at least bring it back at some point. Very poor if we’re trying to sell the others when that one is for charity.Burnley1989 wrote: ↑Thu Sep 30, 2021 7:28 pmThey won’t order more 3rd kits if the other two aren’t selling well.

Re: 3rd shirt stock
And they might be right. It is the nature of business - but it’s not right. The 3rd Kit is the one the majority of fans want and the one that is for charity. If they had actually made a really nice home shirt and it had sold out after 3 weeks, would they really be saying it won’t be restocked?ŽižkovClaret wrote: ↑Thu Sep 30, 2021 7:40 pmA cynic might suggest they wanted to cap the potential charity payout

Re: 3rd shirt stock
TBF it's undoubtedly very difficult for the club. They couldn't have predicted what a hit the new third shirt would be and ordering shed loads which went unsold could have cost them dear. It clearly IS a huge hit and has been immensely popular. My son bought one the week leading up to the Arsenal game when they were newish in the shop and on the day of the game he couldn't walk 10 yards in town without someone stopping him to admire it, ask if they were in stock and say they were definitely getting one.
