Anyone know of any petrol stations with fuel available around Burnley?

Asda £30 limit though

From driving past and seeing cars at the pumps I think pretty much all of them have Petrol, not sure about Diesel

When all this is sorted, petrol stations will be dead for a month as hardly anybody will need to fill up.

Don’t know why they don’t put “OUT” or some indication on the price board so that you know if there’s any available without having to drive onto for forecourt.
Would make things a lot easier

Most of them have shops and they know some people will go in and buy food, a newspaper etc. Put up a sign and they'll lose that.

Although I agree to some extent, if they needed something that badly anyway there’s nothing to stop them stoping and getting out.

I've seen people get out of their car and walk into the shop to buy while they are waiting for the pump. Most stations haven't run out, so no point them saying they have.

Most stations haven’t run out? Nite before last I drove round Burnley Nelson Padiham and Simonstone without finding a station with diesel. Not one.

If the £30 limit was the minimum instead of the maximum any queues would surely disappear as many drivers now are just topping up with £10.amounts and blocking forecourts.

Craggs in Padiham opened up to the public for diesel. Normally trade with fuel cards. Been big queues in the morning apparently but I went past yesterday at 1pm and just 2 cars and a tractor in line.

Back of Tesco nr the old Main Gas if you don't know it.

I think things are finally starting to calm down, it was only people going mad before which kind of created the problem in the first place had everybody behaved normally with topping up everything would have been fine.

I've not had a car since before the pandemic which of course put me off buying as I thought I'd wait until it was over. I'm now wondering whether I should bother at all and instead stick to taxis and buses.

I know with the energy & now the fuel it’s going to be an expensive winter for some.

If you consider somebody a “prat” for being unfortunate because some idiot decided to crash into him whilst his vehicle was stationary I guess you could be right. That same incident could have happened to anybody in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Unworkable. Single person shifts with motorists having to come into store then go out again to fill up. With the queues it would just take longer.

I think the general idea could be is that you only fill up if you know to start with that you’ve got less than half a tank, the £30 is a good idea because it would prevent plenty of repeated journeys with people topping up with paltry amounts. You only top up when you need to or when you are sufficiently running low enough to.

Utterly pointless. By the time an engineer had installed such a facility, the fuel crisis will have ended.

Yes it’s futile short term but if the shortages ever became long term & consumers had to be rationed that’s the best way of going about it.
